Do you snack?

Snacking is almost a daily habit here in our house. Sometimes it's chips, or pretzels, or trail mix.. whatever it might be. We try to snack in moderation. Do you snack? What are your favorite things to snack on? Do you find that it keeps your appetite in check?

yes , I like snack very much. but I must keep my habit under control.
I like potato chips and coconut most.and popcorn too.
people always say , it is not a good habit to eat snacks.but I think it is not a big deal if you can control it well.
I don't like to mix them otherwise the taste is weid.

Well my daughter and boyfriend eat 3 meals a day with snacks inbetween...I tend to just munch all day long on random food items. If I am off of work (I work in a restaurant so when I work it is generally a 14 - 16 hour day) I do not really eat that much.
During the year I did not work in a restaurant to keep myself from snacking in between meals I would either take hoodia pills, or I would eat a small portion of rice with my lunch. The rice would really fill me up so I would not have the urge to snack on anything later in the day. Also, I have always kept myself too busy to think about eating. Like now for example, I am doing stuff on the computer at 1235AM, preventing me from munching on anything. I have a very strict rule about not having food or drinks near the computer(s), so the more I work on the computer the less likely I am to munch on food.

i do LOVE to snack :) And i know that it is the main reason why I am not losing any weight :) I love potato chips with dip, chocolates, granola bars and chilled fruit. This is weird but I get a big craving for potato chips right after having lunch. I know it's bad but I can't help it :)

I completely know where you're coming from. The funny thing is I'm slowly losing weight and I think snacking is helping. I use to be a huge fan of chips. In fact, I did have some tonight. But snacking is becoming different for me now. I don't think I NEED it, but I enjoy it. I want to snack healthier, but I just can't stand munching on raw veggies or anything. What kind of a treat is that?

I loooooooooove to snack, but I really have to watch my snacking so I don't go overboard and gain unecessary pounds. I mostly love to snack at night while watching TV with my family. But I really need to curve that habit if I want to lose the 8 pounds that I want to lose.

Wow, I wish I only had 8 lbs. to lose. Snacking, lack of exercise, and an underactive thyroid (nice excuse, eh?) has not helped my situation... oh, and the 3 kids in 3 years really blew me out of the water. I hope you lose the 8 lbs. you want to get rid of. Good luck.

I love snacking. I used to eat all sorts of chips, pretzels and sweets etc but I found That i was starting to gain a lot of weight really fast. My favorite snack is potato chips and corn chips. I did stop eating them so much when i found out that I was gaining weight. Now I only snack on fruits and vegetables. Mostly I eat carrots ;)

I commend you for changing your snacking habits. I have a hard time eating carrots and fruits. If I do eat a fruit it is normally an apple. Sometimes I enjoy apples and peanut butter, or celery with peanut butter is another favorite. Maybe that's not such a bad snack either... not as bad as it could be at least :)

Snacking is 1 of my bad habits. I can never loose weight because i always munch on something like chips or cookies.
