"THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL" is the name of the movie,which i watched yesterday,this is a really excellent picture,i have never seen such a picture in my life,This picture main aim is to aware the people that we are not far away from our end,it means we all are destroying our planet,we all need to change and it is the only thing we can only do,In this movie an alien comes from space to destroy the human race but not the planet because as we were destroying the planet slowly they dont wanted this planet to be wasted,so the alien came to clean up the humans and start an entire new eco friendly world,. This is the main theme,Hope this looks interesting to U too,this is really a scientifical movie,WATCH IT FOR SURE

The Day the Earth stood still was a good movie and I thought Keanu Reeves as Klaatu was good casting as the alien. You should also check out the original 1951 movie as well, its very enjoyable. I liked these movies simply for the message they are giving us.

I'm really looking forward to this one. I loved the original. The original revolved around a theme of our potential to destroy the planet too. It was made in 1951 so then the major threat we posed to ourselves was nuclear annhiliation.

It sounds very different from the original, as in the original Klaatu's job was to deliver an ultimatum first. Is it as good as the original? That would be a tall order. No doubt the special effects will be impressive, but you expect that these days, it's character and plot that counts. Frankly I'm always a bit cautious of re-makes of classic films, but I might give this one a go when it comes out on DVD if I hear good reports of it.

i had seen this money on sturday ,this is a very good movie.iam going for the second time today.i was impressed by the theme .it is brilliant.i really want to hats up the director for giving us a such a good message with his wonderful movie.i realy enjoyed it.
