Mu beagle Buster loves his treats. I have taught him various tricks to earn his treats. I teell him certain areas in the house to go to and he runs there waiting for me to say "OKAY" before he returns for his treat. He will sit pretty. Lie down, roll over, give one paw or two paws when asked. He does so much to get these treats. His favorites are Beggin strips but the old stand by are Milk Bone treats. He holds tyhem between his paws as he eats them which looks so cute. Do you give your dog treats? Does he/she do tricks for them at all? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Yes my dog loves his Milk Bones or any treats. He does do some things to get them. He sits, stays, stands on his hind legs to name a few. When he hears the box my cat also becomes very alert because she knows she has her cat treats coming as well.

I don't have a dog now, but when we did I had her trained like that. She never learned alot of tricks, cause we were forced to move and had to give her to a fried. I loved teaching her the tricks that I got to though. Dogs are lots of fun!

Sherlock loves getting treats. He can be almost asleep and I'll say "do you want a yummy?" And he is up and running to the kitchen while licking his "lips." It is so cute. His favorite treats are vegetable and fruit organic treats that I get at my local health store. He loves those and I'm glad because they are the healthiest.

My two doggies get chewy's which are rawhide chew squares which they do hold in their paws to eat them. Daisy keeps chewing on things she should not so when I find her chewing on bad stuff I give her a chewy instead. If I give Daisy a chewy I have to give one to Petie.

My two brats get treats all the time. But I'm lucky if I can get them to sit and be gentle. I'm working on them though. Now my son's dog at his dad's house, Tsunami, is amazing at doing her tricks for her food. She will shake paws, roll to one side and then to the other and sit up, and she will dance by standing on her hind feet and turning in two circles. She's a huge purebred Pit Bull, but she looks absolutely adorable when she is doing her tricks. I think she needs to have a chat with my two. LOL

I do give my dogs treat. We usually have the generic "milk bone" on hand. Queen knows sit and sit pretty. Caesar knows how to shake with both paws, sit, and lay down. JT know how the army crawl, shake, sit, lay down, and sit pretty. Pandora just knows how to sit. She is being really stubborn when trying to learn new things. Put the one treat that all of my dogs prefer is ice. They would gladly take a cube of ice over a milk bone anyday. But then again they are all wierdos!! LOL
