I recently heard that Avacado Seeds are the latest thing in fighting-off cancer.
I found this information while looking to see what the new VitaMix 5200 could do and they turned two avacado seeds into powder! While I find that amazing, what good is it?

Did you see on the website where they just dropped a couple of seeds in there and poured out powder? It was incredible!!!
They were demonstrating what the new 5200 could do. Since I only have the 5000, I didn't try it (not that I had avacado seeds justy lying around either!).
Which one do you have?

I would like to see proper studies being done on the various anti-cancer claims before I go out and purchase a vitamix 5200 and start scoffing down powdered avocado seeds. Sometimes the compounds available in food products are not sufficiently concentrated to be effective and sometimes a balance diet, exercise and clean living are the best overall protection for good health. While there are gains in understanding and treating cancer, it is still one of the biggests killers of humans.
I try not to discount claims of natural products because sometimes there are complicated compounds in plants that before the pharma industry learned how to synthesize various chemicals, plants were the only source of complicated chemicals. I do not like to discount modern pharma chemicals either just because they are not plant derived either.

I had not heard that. I do know that avacados are good for you because they have vitamins and the "good" fat. I can't imagine what good a powder would do. Sprinkle it on your food?

I have never like avacado because of their smell.. SO i cant even imagine how will it taste like.. haha =D But i did read it in Men's health magazine, it's stated that their seeds do really fight cancer.. ON top of that, there are some other fruits and food mentioned too..
But they also mentioned, just eating all those foods are not really useful, one has to eat some other food to trigger the proper vitamins or minerals in those cancer fighting food ^_^

I don't know, this is the first I've heard of this. But i do know that many other parts of fruit that we thought were just waste have turned out to be helpful.
