What's the number 1 thing you dislike about the place you're living at.
Is it the weather, the people, bad roads or maybe the high rent in your area.
I'm in Las Vegas and for me it's the Bus Service.
In some areas the bus runs only once an hour and if that 1 brakes down you wait 2 hours.
They don't send a replacement bus.
In some areas they still don't have a bus, so you have to walk a mile or so to get to a bus stop.
It's gotten a little better, some of the routes run every half an hour or so.
This is Vegas,I think the busses should run 24-7, just like the town.
Whats wrong with your Town=City?

I don't like that there are no dog parks in my city in California. There are so many families with dogs and not all yards are big enough for dogs to run around in. I believe a dog park is in the works, but I've been here for two and a half years and still no park. Other than that, I really like my community and the people in it.

That's to bad, Doggies need a park to run around in.
Surprisingly there are quite a few dog parks in Vegas.

I don't like the narrow streets that makes it difficult for a car to pass by. I dislike the bumpy roads with holes in them. I don't like that certain areas are not adequate lights.

That's very scary and dangerous if you don't have enough light, especially at night time.

What i really like in my city is that we are not prone to typhoons and that our city is peaceful. Our city is considered to be the largest city in our country and that it is one of the most livable city. Apart from that, i really like the convenience of being near the coastline and the nice spots to relax as well as healthy food. On the other hand about what i don't like is not the place but those people who gossip, pretenders and fake-you know what i mean people that keep talking about other peoples live and not their own. But-well of course i know its everywhere it can be avoided. Anyways, just sharing about it. Okies, Happy mylotting and haver a nice day1

Actually I love San Francisco although it tends to discriminate against the lower and even middle class. For instance, in the middle and lower class neighborhoods there are street signs to move your car for street cleaning by 7:00 am and in some 9:00am. There is a hefty fine if you don't. If you go to the richer neighborhoods you have until 2:00pm. We would not want to wake our sleeping rich with the noisy street cleaning trucks now would we. No, we would rather ticket those who can't afford it. Then once their tickets pile up we can impound the car and sell it. All money in SF's pocket. Something is wrong with this picture. Can't help but think it's just another way to keep robbing from the less advantaged.

In my city we have EVERYTHING: bad roads, bad smells, cold weather, angry people, high unemployment level- and of course it makes everybody suspicious about everything, traffic jams, and so on.
But tell me: is there a city where all this does not exist? I would like to see such city.
I am in between leaving the city or accepting it. The second one is more reliable action that I might take in the future. Wait a minute...Yes, already took the second decision. :)

wow..... i got one big list to tell you if you want to know what all i hate about my city.....
first of all i hate the people.... they are so narrow minded, cant keep their noses in their own business, they look at you like they have never seen a girl before, most of them are illiterate.... (i cant go and teach all of them can i ).... and most of them are very rude..... cant understand english..... goes on and on .....
the roads..... some are good but most of them are very very bad.... govt is least bothered to fix them up.....
public transport - SUCKS !!
traffic..... is such a problem that a strtch of 5 kms is covered in no less than an hour.....
govt.... is horrid, they just want to sit and eat our money.... dont do anything to build up the city..... dont listen to the requests of the public for better raods and more public transport....
basically my city really sucks...!! big time !!

hi,missybear! i'm living in a big coastal city of China now. the weather here is quite lovely, almost being sunny and warm every day..so i really enjoy it..but i just don't like the heavy traffic including the bus service here. first, there are too many people being crowded a bus when its rush hour of work. sometimes i just can't squeeze myself into the bus. and its also difficult to take a taxi during that rush hour, but its seems better recently due to the recession.. second, the price of the bus service is much higher than other big cities especially compared to the Capital Beijing..and last, i still feel inconveniet to go out for some place. so more routes of bus should run i think...good news is that several extend subways are building right now which can connect my home to the city's center directly..lol

Hello! I am from Bhubaneswar,a city of India. In my city there is no town bus facility. There were a few buses about five to seven years back but these buses are not on the road now. When required we travel by auto rickshaws which cost more than double the bus fare. For this we face a lot of problem.thanx

i am in Tanta,Egypt...it's a small town so you can't compare it to a city like cairo or alexandria or all that.....anyway....i only hate how careless people here could be when it came to any problem concerning a public property....as long as what they own privately is fine, then nobody cares about anything else outside their house, office, shop, etc.

More people need to ride bikes or walk to work.
If you live close to work why drive.
Or car pull so there is less traffic.

Hi missybear..I think the thing I like least about where I live is there isn't much to do. There's not alot to do for children either. The most happening place in my area is the local mall and it's not all that big. The closest "big" city is 45 minutes away. I do however take advantage of nature here, waterfalls, hiking trails, etc. That's mostly confined to summer though.

I like my city because environment is good, people are broad minded here, there are all kind of facilities but there are drawbacks like the rent of the area are expensive, some areas road are not much good, the amusement park for children is not present, water logged when in rain. And stray animals. Thats the reason i dnt like my city

I live and work in Ontario Canada in the Summer, and in the Winter I live and play in a seniors Park in Alamo Texas. I hate that it never snows in Alamo Texas. The roads are never closed and no one slides off the icy Interstate here. I miss my snow shovel (its rusting away in my garage in Canada)and I miss slipping on the icy sidewalk where I might break my arm. I hate the hot winter days here in the Park when I'm swimming in the outdoor pool, and those awful bike trips through the Wildlife Sanctuary.Oh God! I miss the Canadian Winter!

Talking about snow, it snowed big time in Las Vegas yesterday, that's unusual.
I really enjoyed it since i hardly get to see snow here except the mountains.

One thing i hate in our place is the luck of concern to the
invironment by the citizens. Seldom you see people who throw
their garbage properly. The sad part of it is that the
new generations seems to adopt the said wrong habit.

There are alot of wonderful things about Toronto including a diverse enterntainment scene, great restaurants, endless attractions and a fabulous transportation system. Now if the average person could only afford to live here.
Eight years ago, I could've bought a house close to downtown Toronto for under 200K. Now, you can't find a detached, 3-bedroom home for under 275K within 30 kilometres of the city core. Houses that once sold for $225K are now selling for $625K. It's insane. To buy a bungalow in my preferred neighborhood, it would cost me $800K for a run-down 3-bedroom bungalow. Eight years ago, the price was more like $425K.
My house cost us 282K. It's fairly nice, but the neighborhood is a bit rough. For instance, we sent our son to a school in a neighborhood 15km away because the school we were supposed to send him to had chapters of FOUR organized gangs.
We make a good combined living. I don't know what the average person working in Toronto is supposed to do for lodgings. Most people rent, or live 2-3 families to a house!

The first thing i dislike my city is the traffic. I live in Beijing. There are always too many cars in the road and you must spend many hours in the bus, subway, taxi everyday. It can easily destory your good mood. And the distance between my home and office or my friend's home will aggravate the traffic problem. Maybe i should bay a car. But the car is only helpful in weekend. you can not depend on it to carry you to your office on time at working days.

I live in 2 different towns half the year(I work on the internet, but have worked many jobs in both towns). I live in San Jose, California because it's the place I choose to live, but I also live in Fort Pierce, Florida because it's where I'm from and where all my friends and family live. The 2 places are exact opposites. I like nothing about Fort Pierce, and I love everything about San Jose.
The 3 things I like most about my westcoast town. The 3 things I hate about my eastcoast town.
*Crime:
San Jose - was rated as the safest big city in America in 2005.
Fort Pierce - has the 2nd highest crime rates per capita (next to Camden, NJ)
http://www.areaconnect.com/crime/compare.htm
*Transportation:
San Jose - has public transportation that is extremely cheap including not only busses but also a train that allows you to visit most places in the city easily.
Fort Pierce - has no form of public transportation aside from taxi services that cost an arm and a leg.
*Culture:
San Jose - Much more open minded since there is many immigrants from all different countries.
Fort Pierce - Not very open minded at all. Alot of racism.
*Opportunity:
San Jose - There are much more employers since its a much larger city, but also the employers pay much better and employ much more people since it is Silicon Valley and there's many corporate headquarters there.
Fort Pierce - There are no large employers in this town. Mostly gas stations, pawn shops, and mom and pop shops. Majority of the jobs pay somewhere around minimum wage.
