Do You Prefer To Have a Maid.. or a Chef ?

I woke up this morning really weak and tired, AND hungry, and I said to myself " I wish I had a maid to clean up this place for me" then I said "Hmmm, I could also use a chef, I'm so freaken hungry I could eat the chef right now" of course I didn't mean that, just being silly, again.
If I could choose one I'm not sure which one I'll choose because right now I'm hungry and lazy, but if I had to choose one, I might choose the maid cuz I hate cleaning up with a passion but I do it anyway cuz I hate a filthy house.
On the other hand I can throw together my own food faster than I can cleanup, and plus I actually like cooking coz I have something to look forward to at the end, which is "EATING"
Which would you choose, maid or chef? and WHY?...

I would really love to have both a chef and a maid can't I please have them both. If I had to choose one though I would probaly choose the maid as I hate cleaning house I figure if I can afford a maid I can afford to order out from a nice restaraunt for supper and then the maid can clean up the mess hehe.

a maid because my hubby does most of our cooking here at our house and he is a fabulous cook! i also work outside of the house, have a lot of health issues and do a lot of the other stuff around the house, so we divide tasks evenly and he loves to cook.

We split the cooking duties here, but overall I do most of the cooking.

I'd want a maid who cooks!
Yeah, call me greedy but I'd want the best of both worlds. LOL It's always nice to have our food prepared by someone else and brought to us... ah, what a life that must be!
But, cleaning? Does anyone really LIKE that chore? I doubt it, unless they get paid good money to do it. I'm certainly not fond of it myself, but I do get into "cleaning mode" occasionally and go nuts. It gives me a great sense of satisfaction after cleaning when the house still shows it.
So, I guess I'd rather have a chef.
You're on a roll, girl! I've never seen so many No. 1's in the digest before! I bet this one makes it, too.

This is the best idea EVER! Is there anything better than a maid that cooks? Hmmm...How about getting the service for **FREE**! NOT paying a dime for it. That's *LOVE* huh?
I am still quite shocked about the DIGEST thing, I don't do anything but be myself. Strange huh?

I got home last night from work to dirty dishes and for once I left them and yes they are still here when I woke up. And I'm not doing them again. But it is killing me to walk into my kichen and it is dirty. But you know there are 4 adults here and I'm done. Stick me with a fork. They alway's leave the dishes and then have the nerve to ask did you cook? With what it's all dirty. They are all men. That is what I get for not having a female roommate.Have a good day and I hope you can have clean dishes to feed yourselve with. Not me I'm having a sandwich see how they like that. Have a great day my friend. Onlydia

I would prefer to have maid.I wouldn't like what a chef would cook. I order pizzas and have hamburgers and frozen dinners. I wouldn't like fancy fare. So a maid would be so much better.

Hi miracle,
I love to have maid who can clean and cook for the family..LOL! LOL! I love cleaning not cooking, LOL! but, when I have a job, it's very tiring! My hubby loves cooking but he don't like cleaning! LOL! So, we're a great match!
Anyway, I love to have maid who will do all the cleaning, arrange the laundry!

I do a darn good job at cleaning, but it doesn't mean I feel like doing it.

Since I enjoy cooking, I think a maid for sure, I would be happy to just have someone do all my laundry for me, I could handle the rest. As it stands I have to walk out into my freezing garage to get to my laundry room, whih IS heated, but it's still colder than the house.
A Chef would be awesome also. If I could afford a Chef, then I could afford to eat Lobster, Smoked Salmon, fancy tossed salads, etc. on a regular basis. Therefore I would be healthier too.

Already got a maid who not only cooks but also clean, so all I have to do is bounce out of bed and let her know what I want to eat and it is prepared. After breakfast and we go to work and my daughter goes to school, the maid has ot tidy the room, and clean the house and then start preparing lunch for us, which we have told ehr what we would like to eat in advance.
The reaosn we have a maid is because not only is the hosue a mansion, but the occupants of the house always had a maid and when we came to live there, she stayed on and the tradition stayed on. Sometimes I would prepare my own breakfast and lunch, or help clean, but she gets paid for that and don't really like us doing "her" work. So what can a girl do!

I woke up and do all the household works my daughter is 19 and she helps me the house work so I am not that much tired of doing it. She cleans up the floor and utensils and clothes I need only to cook the food and leave for office. Happy mylotting and have a nice day and a happy new year.

I would choose a maid. I like to cook so that doesn't bother me so I guess I wouldn't need the chef. I clean a few houses for other people to make some extra money on the side and it's hard work. I don't mind cleaning though because I like a clean house. And our clients say we do a good job. But it would be nice to come home to a clean house that I didn't have to clean. When I was working at the doctor's office I did have someone come in and clean my home. I was very thankful for it too but now since I stay at home most of the time I just clean it myself.

This is pure fantasy as I could never afford either but I've given it some thought. If I could, I'd choose a chef. I am a good cook but other people's cooking always always tastes better to me. I would not want a maid simply because I am a very private person and I would not want someone going thru my home and things. I organize things in a way that works for me. A chef would stay in the kitchen and also clean up after himself and be gone. A maid is all over the place. Oh to be honest, I really would not want either. I really love my privacy and i;ll just stick to fending for myself.

I think I prefer to have a maid so that I can just be lazy around.
I mean, though I love food, I am more of lousy with my things and I find it with great effort to tidy my stuff.

I would chose the maid. I usually don't have a problems cooking, but sometimes, I have to drag myself along to clean. I suppose it is also because cleaning is mainly for peace of mind, my house is never dirty enough to cause any health problems, and probably could never really get that way. Though eating is a physical need.
