I found computer such a great tool in every field. Nowadays,we use it to work, study, make money, design, etc. But what life will be without computers? Will it be darker? As We couldn't send e-mails any more, can't watch movie, shopping and make money on line, can't get on mylot forever.....
So can you live without computer? What do you do with computer everyday?

If I hadn't grown up with computers, I probably would be able to live. But, now, I don't think I would know how to live without the computer, sadly. I do practically everything possible I can on the computer. Email, school work, games.. the internet has everything.

I didn't grow up with computers, but I'd be lost without them. I think I was in my early forties when I got my first computer, and I've just kept upgrading and using them for more and more things as the years pass.

Ah, let me rephrase then: If I never had a computer at anytime in my life, I would be able to live fine and happy, as you did for the first 40 years of your life. It only becomes a necessity after you have it for awhile. I probably would get depression if I did not have my computer for awhile, sadly.

I can probably still survive if you take away my computers. But i can already see that it would take a loooooooong and difficult withdrawal stage for me. :-(
Since I am professionally in IT, my day time work involves a lot of computer use. My other hobbies like photography and writing also requires heavy computer use. I have become so dependent on computers that I would probably already consider myself an addict.

Hehe, it's reasonable for you, as you are a professional in IT. Just hope one day we could invent another new minion of IT industry. Thus computer will not be "lonely" anymore and we could have a secong choice.

I am on my computer ever day, often for many hours. I communicate with it, watch, listen, network, create with it. It means an enormous amount to me. Without it, I would be in a terrible state!

hehe, everyone will be in a terrible state without it. However we surely will have our own way to solve problems without it. So don't depend on it, use it only as a tool .

I do...until it breaks down, then it becomes more than a tool, it becomes a great aching chasm in my life!

I could live without it, but it would be hard to practice my craft (writing) as I have disability which makes writing by hand difficult. I would have almost no income, accept selling my zines at fairs (although their creation is computer related, so I guess that's out). I couldn't check on my friends or follow national politics as easily. I'd really miss facebook, which is helping me rediscover old friends.

Surely computer is a really great tool. I use it in my work, at home especially when surfing the net. But if you have taken away my computer, I think still could live. But if you take God away from, that's what I cannot live without. Without God, I can do nothing, I have nothing and I am nothing.

No! I can't live without computer! Losing an internet connection for a while is difficult, what more the computer!
Before I worked as a developer for an IT company, so I really used a computer to do my job. But now that I'm not working, I blog, check emails, chat with my family & friends (coz we're far away from them).
it's been a part of my daily routine, after breakfast I turn on the computer while drinking coffee.

I don't think I can live without computer. Life without the use of computer will be really useless for me. I depend on the computers on work and I am in the field of computers. Also nowadays almost everything depends on computers, wherever you go.. But I think life without computers will be like how the world was in 1960's or something like that . I cant even imagine a life without computers since I am depending on it for anything and everything.

I think it is difficult for us to work and study without computer. But I found it is a bad thing for us. Once it is out of control, our life will be in trouble. I think the computer can be take an important part in our life but should not become the most important one. Otherwise, i feel that we person are control by the tool. Anyway, it is just my own opinion. hehe

I could live without a computer but I prefer not to, it would make my life harder lol. I am a college student in an computer course, so a computer is rather essential. Furthermore, I like playing PC computer games, watching video clips, listening to music, chat to my friends online and lots more. A PC is very important to me, but yes, I could live without a computer, it does not rule my life, I won't let it!

I admire your determination, we shouldn't let PC rule our life, although it is really a necessity.

I could survive, but it would be an awfully hard adjustment. My whole life revolves around my computer and the internet, so there would be a lot of things I couldn't do any more. I don't have a car or get out much, so I buy a lot of the things I need online. It's also how I earn money to supplement my fixed income. I'd have nobody to talk to and probably wouldn't keep learning so much about what's going on in the world. Computers and the net allow us to do things that were once impossible, and many of them give us a better life, including education. We couldn't have these conversations on Mylot or other sites on the web, that's for sure.

Technically, I could live without my computer but I sure wouldn't want to. I use it everyday, multiple hours a day. Without it, I would have to get a regular job and change a lot of the things that I do everyday.

Of course, I can live without computers, eventhought that would mean that I am behind by the technologies but if I have to live without it, I would. Anyway, I didn't have a pc till I was twenty one years old, so for twenty years I managed to live without it. What do I do with my pc everyday? I just use it for shopping, pay the bills, communicating with my loved ones and friends, and browse or search and learn new things. Happy mylotting.
