Snow!!!

I LOVE snow! Winter is my favorite season. It seems somehow quieter, especially at night. I don't know why it just does. I'm looking our my window right now at the snowfall and I love it!

I'm quite thrilled with the thought of having to experience snowfall. Save some snow for me in a bottle, okay! lol A couple of mylotters have mentioned that in their areas, they are also experiencing snow at present. Here in the Philippines, it isn't a normal phenomenon. Aside from snow, things like hail, sandstorm, and twisters aren't a natural sight here in our location. But lately, some mild twisters (I'm not sure what the appropriate term for them actually.) visited some remote parts in our country which resulted to minor damages and astonishment on faces of those who were able to see it. Further, there were several instances when instead of rainfall, drops of ice poured over selected parts of the country. I was able to experience one of those occurrences. In particular, this happened a few years back when my spouse and I were in my in-laws' place after getting married. It was a hot afternoon when all of a sudden, we felt a strong gust of wind going horizontally which lasted for about 3 to 5 minutes. After this, drops of ice followed; but I wasn't able to personally experience it because naturally, I took cover inside the house of my in-laws. At present, it's quite cold out here which is quite normal because we consider December as one of the colder months or locally, this is known as 'ber-months'. Keep warm & happy holidays!

It has been snowing here in Iceland for weeks, personally I think it's too cold :S

Ive never actually seen real snow, I dont think Id like the cold though.

I haven't been in a snowy area for a long time.. just 4 months about 10 years back just after getting married, but loved every bit of it then. Don't know if it would be the same now with children and all.. I guess it wouldn't be safe to drive in the snow and you cannot take the children anywhere. As you said, it was the beauty I loved more than anything. I hadn't seen anything like it with my eyes so far and was the best thing that stayed in my memory for a long time.

i do like the snow but I think I appreciate it more because we don't have snow where we live so we experience it only when we travel ... have fun and happy mylotting

I do like the snow, but not the cold. Anything below 10 degrees F is too cold. I like doing winter activities including snowmobiling, sledding, making snow angels, but I do not like to drive in the snow.
