How many people will show up with shovel today?

If i'm bored and want to get outside. I am disabled and it is hard on me to shovel, but I did some last year to get the snow from around my truck. My husband usually shovels it and he fills the back of my truck up with snow and you know it really gives some weight in the back end. I love to get out in the snow and have fun, in the cold for just a little while, then I can't take it any longer and have to come in, medical problems. But I can if I have too.

I have not had a child or teen drop by asking for a job shoveling my snow. I'd glady pay $30 or so for it. I have had to shovel 3 times today as we got a few more inches yet again today (Tuesday) I love the snow and cold. I just hate the snow blowing or shoveling. If it is a heavy snow, or more than a few inches, I usually use the snowblower. Otherwise I use a shovel and my wife helps as well. It is a great workout physically too. Nope, I drive trucks... Big nobby tired trucks. If it gets too bad I'll just put it in neutral & hitch the dogs up to it. They'd have a blast.

I guess everyone is scrambling for more earnings now I think it's great help for those who can't shovel or doesn't have the time hubby is the only one that does the shoveling and mowing I rake the leaves and everything else, but as soon as it gets colder I don't do any work outside

Wow I haven't used a shovel to shovel up snow since I was about fourteen! That's probably how long ago since we had a real major snow problem in the UK, certainly in the south, now we are very very lucky to get even a drop of snow! That's how bad or how good depending on how you like snow the weather situation had become. I was sorely disappointed I remember working hard to shovel the snow from a friends pathway and I was promised or sort of expected money but when a few other kids in the street came to help me, all I got for payment was a couple of bananas, how mean is that eh! The excuse was we couldn't have paid all of you for doing the job! Typical!

nope not any more . adn I never went door to door had plenty in front of moms house plus the drive way and it is a hill to get to the garage

I had children show up last year to shovel my snow, but my husband did it. Now since he had a stroke, I am doing it myself and is that snow heavy! I guess with the economy being the way it is, there will be lots of kids asking for odd jobs. But the trouble is that people will be unable to pay them. I remember the last recession where we got a lot of telemarketers and except for the ones from India, many of them were people who had bee laid off from big corporations.

Shovel? What's that? I'm sure around here there are more people who shovel sh*t than anything else.LOL! We dont get enough snow (rarely) to shovel any.

Sure I do shovel. Good exercise LOL Actually me and my son where hard at it this morning. Hubby usually does it during the weekend, but he had to go out and since my son and I were going out with the dog, we decided to shovel after we came back. We had fun :)

Hello polachicago. So it is heavy snow that you are having right now. So far we have not had snowfalls in our place. But I think that it will come soon in January when it gets colder. Too much snow causes us trouble like what we experienced at the beginning of this year. We had snow disaster that we did not have electricity for six days straight. What an experience we had! I don't expect to have it any more. Stay warm, friend.
