Is java purely object oriented language?

Yes Java is a purely Object Oriented Language but it is better than any other language weather it is C ,C++ ,Fortron,foxpro..etc..

Object oriented means nothing but you want everything as a natural way. Think about you project and try to solve in java. If you project needs abstraction, if your project needs inheritance, if your project needs same thing done in different way[Overrides], all are available in java with very nice manner.
To go ahead with Java OOP, You may also need Design Patters to use it with very effectiveness. Go ahed Read the design patters and You are ready....
