I just increased my minimum payout...

I just, out of nowhere, decided to increase my minimum payout from $10 to $25. I didn't give it really a lot of thought, just kind of randomly decided to do it. I've been a member for 5 weeks or so and will for sure reach my first $10 after today's earnings are added to my account tomorrow morning. My whole reason for becoming a member of myLot is to earn extra money to save to start my career. So what does it matter if I get paid when I reach $10 or $25 if I'm not planning on spending the money anyways? I'm not here because I need to use the money I make here each month. I also see it as a way to work harder to reach my minimum payment each month that way I do still get paid each month. Does anyone thing this could be a motivational strategy? Let me here your thoughts on this, if you think this idea would work for you, and also what you all have your minimum payment set at. Thanks for the input!!

hello there... well, i still keep my payout rate at $10 because i really want to get that money first... and i agree on what you've said... increasing the payout rate will motivate you to post a lot to earn to that point... but, i will see first about this strategy next month... thanks for the idea... happy mylotting...

Perhaps that is kind of smart as you are probably a lot more motivated to post more. I would most likely spend more time on MyLot to reach payout. But I think I'm going to wait to increase my minimum payout until after I reach payout for the first time! Maybe I'll change it to $25 then, I'm not sure though, as I am not able to spend that much time on MyLot everyday. :)

I keep mine at minimum payment in case anything happens to me or the site. I have over the minimum now and am anxiously awaiting the end of the month in order to get paid. What happens if you have say a hundred dollars and myLot goes under unexpectedly, you would be out a lot of time and work. Or you do something against the rules and get banned, etc. My experience with online paying programs is not good so I will keep the minimum payment at $10 thanks.

Thank you for the response. I would have never thought about this situation before, so I'm very glad you have brought it to my attention. I would obviously never do anything deliberately to get banned from myLot, but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen (knock on wood!!!) But the other situation brought up about myLot going under is always a possibility. I wonder if there is a chance that if they were to close down the site, if they would compensate everyone with their remaining account balances, regardless of the amount? It's very hard to say, but would only be fair since it would be all earned income. I would like to think that would be the outcome, but nothing would be guaranteed. I think I will try out a full month of trying to earn a whole $25 in a month (so starting in January). I will be a little more reassured if I am able to reach the $25 minimum that way I am still receiving my money monthly. If I can't reach the $25 I will probably consider changing it back to $10 since I know that is a piece of cake for me to achieve. I will just have to keep my motivational strategy in my head and know that I can earn as much as I put my mind to, even though my minimum is set at $10. Thank you so much for the input and advice, I would have never thought about this situation if you hadn't have brought it to my attention.

I haven't gotten paid yet - I started myLot in the middle of November so I wasn't able to make payout by the end of the month. Another member has advised me to be careful though so I will pass the tip on to you - if you're not positive you will still be able to reach the monthly payout each month, it might be wise to keep your minimum payout at $10, just for safety reasons such as myLot closing its doors and keeping your hard earned money! Just something to keep in mind. I would have never thought about it but someone else brought it to my attention.

Just out of the blue? like that? without any thought at all?! WOW! you are quick at decision making! I have my min set at 10 dollars, I never know when I might just wanna pull the fort up and go somewhere else.

Thanks for the response. And yeah, it was pretty much out of nowhere! That's not always like me though, most of the time I do ponder decisions for at least a little while! But apparently this just seems right to me. But I don't ever plan on leaving myLot, not anytime soon anyways. I have gotten so addicted to this site, not because of the earnings because you have to spend quite a bit of time on here to make a decent amount, but because of the interesting discussions and the interaction with people from around the world.

Thank you for the response. It's good to hear that the $10 minimum works well for you. I have only been with myLot since the middle of November so I have yet to receive a payment into my paypal account, but my goal is to reach the payout each month of $25. It will be hard work, but I love a good challenge, I don't like losing, and I don't give up :) Congrats on making the $10 every month, and keep up the good work :)

it takes me forever just to get to the $10 payout so i will leave it that way. i do not have alot of time to post so i do a few posts per day and then i have to move on to other things so it takes time for me to get to payout. but i like it and it is fun for me and the money is an added bonus.

Thank you for the response. For some people they can easily reach the $10 payout each month, and for others it takes a couple months, or maybe even more. My first $10 seemed to come very easily after I got the hang of everything here, and I think I picked up a few "tricks" as to how to maximize my daily earnings here. It is all an added bonus for though as well, I love coming here just for advice or to give others any advice I can offer.

Hi there tklich.im happy your enjoying your stay here in mylot and actually planning for a future in this site.Your motivational strategy will help , i guess, most especially if you will achieve it monthly. As a newbie,i had a hard time to reach the minimum payout, but that was all my fault.i did not have enough time allocated and spent in this site.In my cae i also tried increasing my minimum payout from 10dollars to 25 dollars, but unfortunately i ended up setting it again to 10 dollars.Either way you do the setting, you will definetely earn here in mylot. The only difference is the time of time you will be consuming to achieve that aim.Good luck to your aim and keep up the motivational tactics for you to suceed.Have a nice day!

Thank you for the response. I too hope that I can achieve payout each month. I like to set my mind towards something, then do everything I can to work hard and achieve that goal. If someone tells me I can't do something, it doesn't discourage me at all, it does the opposite actually, it makes me work harder! I'm hoping to use that quality to every advantage I can though in reaching my goals, not only on myLot but in everyday life as well. Thank you for the input and have a great time here on myLot :)

Really? How did you get it? Please give me an idea, you're style of doing it? A tip of how you do it? Can you tell me please?

My first $10 came fairly easy. It took about a week or two for me to get the hang of everything, and I almost wanted to give up at first because every so often I must have an off day because I don't earn as much as what I'm expecting. But it's not about the number of discussions you reply to at all, it's all about the quality of your post. Browse topics that you can relate to and interest you because you will find discussions that you can write more about. When you do find a discussion you want to reply to, be as descriptive as possible. If the original post asked any questions, be sure to answer all the questions to make the post longer. But don't ever get off track and start talking about something different, always stay on the specific subject of the original post, that will earn you the most money. Try to create original posts of your own as often as possible as well. Write about things that are going through your mind, something you might want some advice or suggestions about, or anything else going on in your life. Be as detailed as possible. These are all the strategies I follow and I now have over $10 in my account after just a month. I plan to continue working hard and trying to increase my daily earnings. Good luck! :)

I thought that it was very funny that I just came across this discussion. When I joined mylot also about five weeks ago I changed my payout to 25.00. It seems as if it is taking me forever to reach so I just emailed them a few minutes ago to see if I can get it change back to 10.00. I too joined mylot for the earnings, but I must admit I'm having a lot of fun and have learned a lot. Happy Mylottings.

Thank you for the response! For a while it seemed like keeping the $25 minimum payout was a good motivational idea, but I'm beginning to wonder if I was right...?? I don't want to chance losing my money if the site does close down, but I don't even know the chances of that happening. I'd like to think I would be just as motivated if my minimum was $10, but I don't know that either. I have a ton of fun starting discussions and responding to others.

it is a good idea to increase your minimum payout if you are not planing to withdraw it. nut my case is not like that. i work in many sites and i need money to upgrade and all those things. keeping or saving money will not help to earn better. so for some months i have been making money and doing many other things with it. some of them have worked and i get profit, some fail. but i got the good sites.

Thank you for the response. It's cool to hear that you have found a way that works for you. That's the key to making things work, is that not everyone can do it the same way. Find a way that works best in your own situation, then go from there.

Yeah, that is a good idea. That would definitely motivate you to make the minimum payout before the month ends. For me, I wouldn't do that because I know that I do not have the time to make 25 dollars a month or maybe even 10. I just started posting on this site a few days ago. My minimum payment is set at 10 dollars I think because it is a more realistic goal for me. But maybe later on I will switch it...

Thank you for the response. Each person has a different amount of time to be able to dedicate to myLot. I would be interested to know if someone has ever made the $100 minimum payout in a month?! That would be outrageous. It has actually become very easy for me to reach the $10 minimum, so it was probably time for me to increase my minimum payout anyways. Just be sure to never underestimate yourself...

i didn't increase my payout... i just keep it at $10 as it is already hard enough to achieve that... i have a full time job and hardly any time to spend here anymore... so if i can reach $10 every month, it is already a huge achievement for me... and i prefer to have the money sitting in my paypal account anyway rather than in mylot... good luck with your new minimum payout limit... hopefully you can achieve it every month... take care and have a nice day...

I have been on MyLot for a while, but only today have I sat down and used the site. So far, it seems really interesting. Reading this thread has been very helpful. I think I am going to leave my minimum at $10 for a while, and see how it goes...

I have my minimum set at $10 but I think I want to raise it to the highest payout possible. The reason for this is to motivate myself to post and also so I can treat myself to something when I receive payout. When you think about it what is $10? Money is like water nowadays!

Thank you for the response. You are thinking the same way I am - that the higher the payout, the more motivated you will be to post and work to reach payout. I feel pretty motivated with only a $10 payout, so maybe I will do awesome with a $25 payout! Wishful thinking :)

That is a good idea. I was going to reset my minimum also but I decided to leave it at $10. It is a good way to save the money though, as $10 is not really a lot anyway. Well I hope it does not take you too long to reach your payout.

I might raise my earnings up to. I have found out some key tips on how to make the good money here at MyLot so I think I'll be getting paid more frequent. Then again, ten bucks is fine with me. I might need it one night I want to go get a double cheese burger from McDonalds.

I'm pretty sure I can find 4 quarters around my house somewhere to run and get a double cheeseburger :)
