I have purchased and sold hundreds, if not thousands of items on eBay and 98% of my transactions have been positive and hassle free. Look at peoples feedback before you purchase from them, also it's a good idea to message them first and ask a question (make one up if you don't really need to ask). See how they respond and use this to decide if you want to buy from them. If you pay with Paypal, you will be protected financially (usually) if something goes wrong.
Always read the item description before you buy or bid, make sure you also read the sellers terms and conditions. Another good tip is to educate yourself on the ebay terms so you know where you stand if you have trouble with another ebayer.

GoHan offers you good advice, it's also good to look at the seller's return policy, if listed. Have a nice day.

I have a varied experience buying things through ebay. Most of time it has been a fantastic experience, i always get a good deal, and the product is fantastic. When i have had a problem, ebay have always been there to help me and support me, and have always solved it. I always pay with paypal as well, so that you get added protection when buying, which is definately a bonus.
As well as buying on ebay, i also sell. I know that is may seem like a biased view, but most ebay seller are reliable. The feedback scores are there for a reason. If they ave a highly positive feedback score, then you can more than likely rely on that seller. As a seller, you also have to rely on the buyers. I have had a few occasions where a buyer has bought an item, but not paid for it. This is always very frustrating, because you are charged a final value fee from ebay, even though you havn't got the money from the buyer. However, because ebay are always there to support, you get your money back. I think ebay is a fantastic website. I have earned a lot of money through it via dropshipping. It gives people a chance to earn a decent income from home without all the hassle. :)

eBay allows you to report sellers who do not ship the item after buying it, and buyers who don't pay for their items. For sellers they can report the item as the buyer didn't pay & they can offer it to the next bidder if they choose or choose to relist the item. Have a nice day.

Hello,
I buy items on ebay , but I am extremely careful about who I purchase items from.
I check the seller's feedback before considering buying from them.
If the seller has negative feedback, I read the negative comment(s).
I check the costs of shipping to be sure the cost of shipping isn't too high.
I read item descriptions very, very carefully, too.
All of my transactions are through paypal and have been good ones.
I have no complaints regarding buying things on ebay.
But, as you can see, I am a very careful shopper on ebay.
Have a great day!

I usually buy stuff on ebay when I cannot get it in my country or it is way too expensive than the actual price should be. I think it is important to get yourself protected by checking on whether there are any cases of counterfeit items in the market. I will also check out the seller's feedback and if necessary, contacting the buyers for gather feedback.

Hey! You have to check out the seller of the item, most people on eBay are there to make extra money. As for the dishonest people....you can report them to eBay if you don't get the item or if it's not as listed. You are right that you have to be careful.

i have great time shopping at ebay, not only the item arrive in short time,it also arrive in good condition..but before i decide to buy something,i always check the seller rating and the customer feedback..because too many scam i heard on ebay,i always be very careful when i decide to bid or pay something..always choose to pay with paypal..
the higher the rating like 98%, only then i will convince enough to pay the seller..
you also should compare all item with other seller nad choose the seller who have high rating and charge low in shipping fees..sometimes the item sold in lower price, while the shippng fees they charge expensvely..very carefull with the unbelievable cheap item..

Hello! I've been buying through eBay since 1998. I've had mostly good experience with a few problems here and there. It really depends on the seller and how they describe the item. If they describe the item well, show pictures, and have good feedback you are almost always given a good transaction. You can ask the seller questions, plus if the item is not as described you can dispute through paypal in regards to the item. However there are people who have bad experiences so I understand that. Have a nice day.

I suppose ebay is the best in this buisness for quiet a few years and they continue to be the best even though certain mistkes happen in their site also and i think that you should check the users profile before buying any item..you should check how the salesperson has given the product to other customers and then buy from him..other than that there is no other problem with ebay....happy mylotting....

i havent used ebay any time but i think its the most trusted online selling site
with most of the people using the site its the worlds most popular site among the market you can even sell used products there bid them
many options are available along with many offers
so depends on you to make the appropriate selection which is safe and trusted
be selective and careful while making a transactions because with every popular thing bad ones creep so be careful of the frauds there

I am from the Philippines and I buy from ebay at least once a month. I buy all kind of things from toys, gadgets, books, school supplies and collectibles. However, one must be careful in transacting in ebay. I always choose to buy from those with established and good reputations though its not fool proof. In my years of buying from ebay, I have been scammed only once and sad to say it was from a seller who was supposed to have a very good reputation. I guess she decided to close shop and decided not to honor her obligation to me as a buyer even if she received my payment. She was a seller from the U.S and I bought about 130 books from her store. Also at that time I paid through money order and now I pay thru paypal which has an added buyer protection and makes me more confident in buying more and more.

I think the main thing you need to do is pay attention to feedback and get insurance whenever possible. I have bought a lot off of ebay over the years and I have been screwed over a few times. I think if your purchase is over $25, you're eligible for ebay's buyer protection plan. Communicate with the buyer. Still, there are some baddies on ebay. So, you're not ever entirely safe. They might choose you as their first victim, so be careful.

I have bought lots of things from ebay and have only ever bought from one bad place and I have been shopping on their for about four years. I mainly buy clothes, make up and books and I have bought phones off there too. I tend to stay away from really expensive things due to the fact that unless it is a proper manufacturer there is no guarantee on the item. How I decide to buy from somewhere is I check out the feedback score of the seller, then I check out the comments from other buyers if the seller has too many negatives in the space of a month then I tend to steer clear but if their feedback is good then I buy. The money transaction is safe, I always also use paypal to pay simply because if anything goes wrong then i can get my money back through paypal.

i have bought many things from ebay and ive never had a bad experience with any of the sellers.
sadly, there are sellers that are on ebay and scamming people. you can learn about the sellers through their star ratings and reading reviews that buyers have written about it.
overall ebay is pretty good and hopefully you don't have a bad experience on it
Happy Holidays!

hi there adhavgeek! i haven't tried buying things through eBay. but i have some former co-workers who buy from online sites such as eBay. so far, they've got really good products and were not ripped off nor were victims of scammers. i guess it really depends on the seller itself. you need to make sure that he/she is reliable and that the product is also in good shape, as value for your money.
i've seen a lot of international and local items put on auction in eBay and other sites. some are ridiculous, and some are good. some are even cool! i don't know if it was from eBay or another site, but a multi-million peso (and equivalent to more than 1 million dollars!) house is being sold in that online site.
all in all, i think most of eBay's sellers and auctioneers are reliable. i would be willing to try buying something from eBay soon! =)
thanks and more power to you! =)
