Why do people drink alcohol?

I guess I could talk about alcohol here in the Life section. My question to you is do you drink alcohol? and if so, why do you drink? I don't drink alcohol and never wish to but what's the thrill in it? People often drink it in bars and clubs to "bring out the real them"... this new "you" is not real, it's fake. You don't act like that really, it's an act played by the confused mind. "alcohol makes me have fun"... I don't need alcohol to have fun, why should you? Why do people drink alcohol when a lot of them say it tastes bad? Why buy it when it's expensive and has health risks? Why put yourself through the hangover process?

drink is good to relax... but is very very bad drunk so much of this... xD

Drinking is not good. We make many stupid things when we are drunken. And everything becomes dizzy. Why do we do that? Maybe to get A FEELING of dizziness. Sometimes it helps to relax. But most of the times it makes our conscious mind to fall asleep, and this is when we start to talk with others more, and quite often tell horrible things and then spend the rest of our lives apologizing for those things that were said. :(

I suppose for each person who does drink it is differnt . just something to do at a party i guess , and relax . and well some drink to forget , or to be more brave , or because they are hooked .

you know nobody drinks or smokes for taste but for the headrush the person gets...the strange feeling of lightness spreads through your whole brain. thats a possible explanation i can give you...from my own personla experience..

I think that people drink just to help them relax and have a good time. I think that most of it does taste bad, but not all of it. Its just what you like, I guess.
