This week I have really cut down on my eating and have been to the gym but I have put 1 pound on. Im really disappointed but not in myself because I know I have not eaten too much. Since last Fri I went to gym on Saturday and Sunday morning and then on Tuesday night and Thursday afternoon. I have also done walking as well. I did miss Wednesday which I normally do but I did a longer and harder workout on Tuesday and was very sore. My weight loss has been gping pretty well and I just am confused as to why I would put weight on now.

Stop looking at the scale! I know it is hard LOL Your initial weight loss was probably all the extra water weight you took off. Remember it isn't about the number on the scale, rather about how you look!

Yep it is possible. I dropped about 15 pounds over 2 weeks, most of it was water weight. Going to the gym and putting on muscle I gained about 6 lbs back.

When You exercise in the gym, You loose fat BUT GAIN MUSCLES.
This is why You got 1 POUND on. You won`t become thinner, forget it. You will become healthier and with a bigger amount of muscles on Your body.

It is a common thing when you first time attending gym session. When one's metabolism rate is at low, so the fat burning also in slow rate. Avoid taking excessive carbohydrate foods and sugar, especially late dinner and supper. Without doing any proper exercise, I lose 7 kg. in two months.

As you already know about muscle and fat weight I won't go into that. Depending on how much you stopped eating may have more to do with it. If you suddenely reduce your caloric intake it will take your body several days to realize what is going on. Its first response is that food is in short supply so it will begin conserving energy, or slowing down your metabolism. To keep this from happening, eat smaller portioned meals every 2 to 3 hours or about 6 times a day. Additionally, when dieting or exercising it is important to get enough sleep so your body can repair the damage your workouts do to the muscles, ligements and tendons. Make sure your not working out too much, alternate heavy and light workouts and have off days. I had a lot of trouble putting on size, so I use to workout like crazy, after a workout I couldn't hardly lift my arms and sometimes they would just shake. Later I learned to workout smarter not harder and was able to make the gaines I wanted.
Good luck.

I get measure once a month so I will see what my measurements say. I am thinking that it may be due to changing my workout because looking back I can remember after the first week I had been to gym I got weighed and I had out weight on then as well. In fact I think it was two pounds that time.

Yes, like the guy below said muscle weighs more than fat.but i don't think this is the case.since it's only one week you probably aren't drinking enough water.did you know if you retain water it makes you heavier?the only way that you can get that water out is to drink more water lol believe it or not...
so i think that if you drink more water and keep your routine going than you will be good..hope i helped!
have any more questions just get at me
