Mary Alice Fallon bought three scratch-off lottery tickets on Nov. 24. After she scratched them, she asked the clerk to throw them away for her. The employee, Chris Connelly scanned the tickets' bar codes on the store's lottery computer terminal. It turned out that Fallon had won a million dollars!
If he wouldn't have checked the tickets himself, she would have lost the money. He said it never occured to him the keep the ticket for himself, saying "I know this woman well. She comes in every day. It would have been bad karma if I kept it."

There's been several stories like this in the news lately, the mailman who found the bag of money, the "kid" who found a lot of money in a videotape at the Salvation Army. Yeah People!

Wow, what a story. It was nice and right for him to give her that ticket, not claiming her winnings. Would be nice if he was rewarded somehow for his honesty. Id do the same thing. I know the money isnt mine and I would return it to its rightful owner too cause thats just right. Good for him.

This is such a nice story. It is such a good thing to know that there are people in this world who will still do the right thing. I think they should put more inspiring stories like this on the news and maybe it would not be as depressing.
I guess this woman is very thankful that Chris checked the ticket for her and I'm sure that he will be rewarded for his good deed in time.

She is a very lucky woman. Most people would not have given it back to her. That guy was a very special person. I am glad they did something for him.

Wow! The clerk's honesty was very refreshing. It's a big scandal up here in Canada that too many lottery retailers are winning the lottery themselves. People think they are checking the tickets before selling them, or something like that, and Canada wants to pass a law prohibiting lotto retailers from playing, themselves.

Wow what a good store owner. I can't say I would do the same if I was in his position, although you never know....
