My wife likes reading books. In spite of her very busy schedule as my wife, as a mother, as a manager and as a business woman she still have the time to read books and aside from that her hobby of reading books gave her the opportunity to earn more. She has a book shop in the mall and she earns 5 times of her big salary. I met successful people in the business that they built their business out of their hobbies. My wife has a friend who loves to create bracelets, necklaces, and other accessories out of beads and she is earning more than her regular job.

I love writing and pottery..though I am most happy when I am with the wheel in the pottery room I can't make it my profession as I am studying engineering and it would be hard to have substantial income doing only pottery..I have sold few Gods and Goddess' deities and will try to do more in future but not as a sole profession presently...have a nice day!

My hobbies are writing and art and I hope to turn my hobbies into my profession. I have sold a couple of paintings, some cards I have made and a few other things, but that money can't pay my rent, it is more like an extra income. In about morth I am going to exhibit my paintings at a café and I hope that could be the first step and that it can help me make some more money on my art. I would also like to make money on my writing, but that will take a while. I have to finish the poems and stories first, and then I will have to find someone who wants to publish it!

You can make your hobby your profession, no doubt about it. Many people have done that and many have been successful. However, I would not do that because I feel I will not enjoy it as much as I wanted it to. My hobby is drawing comics and imagine I have to force myself to draw comics everyday in order to survive and to earn money. Some publishers will even chase after you for late deliveries or even cancel your contract if you cannot submit on time. Imagine the stress. And under such stressful condition, I doubt I can enjoy.

I don't really have a hobby but my husband does and he's planning to make it into a business...as soon as we locate the owner of a building in a great location that we're interested in. My husband builds Harley Choppers. He likes working on bikes, has lots of parts cluttering up the garage, can get Harley Davidson parts online cheaper than a regular person can buy them at the store and there's a real need for a motorcycle shop in this area. We live in Florida where there are a lot of bikers so this business might just take off. Either way, giving it a try will make him happy.

My hobby is also photography but I don't see myself as ever considering it for a profession. I'm inlove with what I'm pursuing now, musical theatre. I can't imagine living my life taking photos no matter how much I enjoy it.
