There is no milk at home but you want to have coffee.

It is still too early for the stores to open so you may not be able to buy milk in any store. What will you do? Borrow milk from your neighbor or just have black coffee? I think one has to keep some powder milk for such situations. I do not like black coffee. I would much rather have black tea with lemon than have black coffee. I will still give it a chance to check some stores on the off chance that some store may have opened early or there may be some overnight stores which are open.

I have black tea and coffee anyway, so that would not be the problem, it would be what to have for breakfast if I could not have my cereal with milk! I would have to go to the trouble of making something else, like toast (if I had any bread in the house), or perhaps fruit or yogurt.

We have some powdered, flavored creamers that we don't normally use that we would have to use if we were out of milk early in the morning. I could borrow some from my neighbor, because she is my daughter and she gets up early, but we try not to be pests to each other...unless we can't avoid it.

Well this would not be a problem for me because I love black coffee. I do keep powdered creamer in the house though in case a friend stops and I am out of milk. At one time I drank my coffee with lots of milk and sugar though and probably would have done without if I couldn't find an open store.

I used the powdered creamer, but if I was out of that and also milk, I would just drink the coffee black. I don't have any close neighbors so that would be out of the question going to borrow from a neighbor. Actually, black isn't so bad!

I would probably ask a neighbo for i and if that didn't pan out I would have it black. Next tim your at the store get you a small container of powdered creamer for just such an emergeny. It's fairly inexpnsive and hadny to have. Once you open it keep it in the fridge and I think it will keep for an eternity! LOL

I would just stick with my usual green tea and honey. But since it 'tis the season and we have egg nog in the house my fiance has actually been using that in his coffee lately. Since it's mostly milk and cream it makes sense. Probably really yummy too (and festive)!

if i had ran out of milk to have coffee choosing between having black cofee or waiting for the shops to open would all depend on how tired i was. If i had to leave for work and i was exausted then i would have black coffee, but if it was on a weekend then i would wait to go to the shops to get some milk as it tastes much better.

Thankfully I don't drink coffee. And I don't drink milk either. My wife however is not her wonderful, cheery sunshiny self if she hasn't had her morning coffee. I make absolutely sure we keep milk or at least some form of creamer in the house. We don't live very far from Wal-Mart, so if she doesn't have any milk for her coffee I can run to the store to get some more.
