Taking a photo a day is a big undertaking with big payoffs. Here are just a few reasons why you should consider doing it:
Imagine being able to look back at any day of your year and recall what you did, who you met, what you learned…
Your year-long photo album will be an amazing way to document your travels and accomplishments, your haircuts and relationships. Time moves surprisingly fast.
Taking a photo a day will make you a better photographer. Using your camera every day will help you learn its limits. You will get better at composing yourshots, you’ll start to care about lighting, and you’ll become more creative with your photography when you’re forced to come up with something new every single day.

Thanks, this sounds super fun and a great opportunity to learn more. With the new year coming up, I may try this :]

Ah! This is the photographer's equivalent of keeping a daily diary; just as tedious and pointless. Taking a photo for no better reason than that you haven't done so today is a formula for boring and pointless images.... of course, I feel that way about diaries, too; yet I like to read other people's!

It depend what's you love to do. As you are around with your kids all the time. This can be a fun project to start off with, if like capturing all the moment as you watch your kids grow.
Creating a blog and publishing those photos maybe a good idea to start off with, as it motivates you to keep up with the project
