What do you feel when you watch Anime?

We all know that anime and manga are very popular nowadays and you either love it or hate it.
The first cartoons I remember watching when I was a child were the old "giant robot" animes back then like "Voltes V", "Mazinger Z (Soul of Chogokin)" "Daimos" and "Grandizer" and I always feel a sense of nostalgia and a little bit of melancholy whenever I watch these types of shows (Especially if they have sad songs at the end)
What about you? When you see anime on tv do you say "yay cool!"? feel indifferent? say not again!? or just sit back and enjoy the show and remember other shows that have gone by? (like I do).

yes, if you try to look at the much older animes like robotech, captain harlock etc. you'll find out that they are better still. :)

well when it comes to anime i get very excited about it. i never know whats going to happen in the episode that they are showing. i love anime, it allows me to get way from the real world into the fantasy world. i the first anime i ever saw was ninja scroll, and ever since then i cant get enough of anime. i latter moved on to DBZ and other anime.

I will always feel amazed and awed by the anime because it is based in a completely different world. It helps to improves my imagination and starts giving me ideas to write in my stories and fictions, or even in my random drawings. That is the reason why I love animes. They tend to show us the impossible, something which will never happen in our lifetime - the giant robots, the magical creatures, the sky kingdom, etc.

it is a great escape at the same time they feature stories that we can relate with a lot.
