Is there a Christmas song that you just don't like?

Or that you are so tired of hearing? When I first heard "Grandma got Run over by a Reindeer" I thought it was funny. But now I am tired of hearing it. And recently I saw that they made a cartoon Holiday special based on the song. I watched only the last few minutes of it. Watching the grandmother get run over was TACKY.

I'm with you. I can not stand that song. They need to retire it or something. What is so funny about grandma getting ran over by a reindeer every year? Its over and done with can't we all just move on? I love that song with the bells. I can't think of the song but everytime I hear it it gets me in the Christmas spirit.

Hrm... I guess I find "Grandma got Run over by a Reindeer" tiresome, too. This isn't a thought I spend much time on, however, so I can't come up with any other examples at the moment.

As for this moment,I don't like any Christmas songs. It just makes me feel bad to know that it's Christmas and my partner is not with me.

Most songs that are corny are over played. I suppose there will always be an audience for them. But you have to admit Ray Stevens was very funny. I don't thing Wierd Al is.

I have some that I just despise and some that I don't mind hearing over and over. I really love Grandma Got Run over by a Reindeer (there is a later record called "Grandma's getting Tired of that old Record" same tune different words that is lots of fun too)!!! We used to sing it to (and with) my Granny Annie, and she got such a kick out of it (we lost her 18 mos ago). I also love "I'll Be Home for Christmas" and "We need a Little Christmas". But I get sick of hearing most of them when they are played constantly from Thanksgiving to 12/25 every year for sure!

The Christmas song I dislike the most would probably be "The Little Drummer Boy".

I don't have any favorites, but there isn't one that that I dislike really. Although through the years they have come out with some corny ones..lol Happy Holidays and best wishes to your family and your new little one..

I hate the Chipmunk;s Christmas Christmas Time is Here," sorry but do not know the correct title. It drives me bugs. Oh and I guess my second worse one is that one about that Reindeer who did not like where he was going and ran over that nice elderly lady.

There are several...I must agree about the grandma one, I also dont like the hippopotamus one. ANd the one about the dying Mom and him wanting to buy shoes for her...that one is the worse
Holidays are very painful for some...this year there were a few songs that started me crying every time I heard them, Blue Christmas - we had 2 deaths since October in our immediate family and my son will not be in for Christmas this year and of course he won't have a White Christmas--which I think he will miss.
TO hear a song about a Mom dying is a real downer -- makes of antidepressants must love this song. same thing for the movie

"Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" I would say is my least favourite Christmas song and I do love carols. I don't know why I don't particularly like the song, I just don't.

Im getting tired of all the christmas songs.
They are everywhere, the neighbors, random places where I go.
I just stay home and listen to the old music like AC DC and Black Sabbath. Im into rock and roll and some heavy metal

I can't think any I don't like but i heard one this morning on the radio, more of a narration really with Silent Night in the background, it was beautiful, it was all about a little poor boy going into a department store to see Santa, he had his little dog with him, when he saw Santa he picked his dog up and went to talk to him, he only had one wish to bring his mum and dad back as they were killed in a car accident the year before, thats all he wanted was his parents back, he said he had everything else, his Grandmother was looking after him and his sister, he had his little dog and his sister had her rag doll, oh I am crying now even thinking about that song, I tend to cry at anything on Christmas Day...

I haven't heard that song to be honest, sounds like a silly song with those words as the title! Most Christmas songs I don't mind listening to but once or twice, not over and over again and that's why I feel sorry for those people who work in stores where they play non-stop Christmas carols from November onwards, it would drive me cuckoo!

That's my favorite song!
I get tired of the classics. I prefer them done by newer artists, and updated a bit, you know. But the really old ones just get tiring.
