Where is it all going?

I decided to step on the scales. I have noticed that my underwear now seems a little large, and also that my pantyhose is getting to be too big but looking at myself, I could not tell any difference. True my waist went down a little and so did my hips, but it had before and I still was 204 lb with my shoes on according to the doctor. So I went on the bathroom scales with my boots on, and they are a good one lb together. Well in spite of that, I am now just under 200 lb. So have you been pleasantly surprised at your loss in weight? Oh and I am diabetic as well, so that makes it doubly a surprise.

Maybe I should let it. Because it seems I am at a plateau and my doctor wonders why I am not losing anything.

That is why I have to be careful. I do not want to go blind, but more afraid of losing my hearing. I had a very bad cold and I could not hear out of my left ear for a while so I figured that would go first. And kidney disease runs in my father's side of my family. I had a relative who went on dialysis when I was a girl. That is why I hardly drink and am very careful about keeping myself clean.

But that can lead to blindness and kidney failure.

Thank you! Now if I could only lose it off my face, then I will be happy.

Hmmm, usually people do lose from the top down. That's where I usually notice people have lost weight is in their face.

I have the type of face that makes it look as if I weight over five hundred pounds instead of 200.

AWESOME! That's great that you are getting some of the weight off. I on the other hand am going in the opposite direction.

It does not look as if I lost anything. I took some photos yesterday and my daughter-in-law took of me holding my granddaughter, and my face still looked the same. fat.

Well, it could be water and fat that you're losing - while building muscle. That's the ideal scenario. :) MS http://www.biosyourlife.com

Wow - that's a great accomplishment when you've managed to do that without making noticable differences in your lifestyle. If you can drop pounds without really noticing that it's happening, that's really positive in my book because it means you're not obsessing about that. It's hard not to obsess. I have a hard time not obsessing. I had to get rid of my scale years ago because it did more harm than good.

Congratulations! This is marvellous news and a great achievement as well. It is harder for you to lose weight if your body is insulin resistant or if you are a type 2 diabetic but you have obviously made some changes to your life which have had a positive impact on your weightloss and your overall health. It is the little changes that make a big difference over time so well done!

Oh yeah, that is wonderful..I have no idea why that happens, I guess because you have more muscle which weights more than fat, but having trimmed your waist and hips, made you clothes fit looser, even though you weight the same..
