I make resolutions every year and hardly ever follow through with them. This year the only resolution that I am making is to save money. Do you make new years resolutions? So you keep them? What is your resolution this year?

I have put off making resolutions in the past few years because I never did end up keeping them. This year I'm making it easier for myself. Instead of vowing to lose a certain amount of weight, my goal is to lose two dress sizes. So I don't know how much weight that will take off of me, but I'll be two sizes smaller than I currently am. And I would be thrilled with that. My second resolution is to get closer to the Lord.

Last year I made the resolution to send everyone in my family a birthday card....and I did it! So this year it will be the same...to make a point of sending everyone..even the great nephews and nieces a birthday greeting...so this afternoon I am going to start making them....get them all addressed and ready to send on their birthdays....other then that....no new resolutions!

Good for you. People should stay in touch with their family more. It's also very good that you followed through with your resolution.

I set goals, with small steps to reach the big goal. I don't set resolutions, because the word "resolution" has negative connotations. Most people don't reach their resolution. My top goal this year is to get my novel done. I've set up smaller goals to reach finally getting my novel done. I have other goals too, but not too many. Saving money is a great goal. Have you set up a plan on how to do this?

Well my husband got a raise about a month ago but with christmas so close we used the extra money for christmas. Now that Christmas is over I plan on putting the extra $80 each week into a savings account.
