What is your favorite anime series?

My husband has always liked anime, and when my oldest became a teenager she and her friends discovered it and love it. They even go to anime conventions that are fairly local. Not too long ago we got the Fruits Basket series and spent two whole weekends watching every single episode. I really liked it, I would gladly watch it again. We've seen all of Sakura Card Captors (a little young, but cute nonetheless), we DRV Naruto and Avatar. Has anyone seen Black Cat? I've been told it was good and think I want to see it. So, what is your favorite shows(s), or what do you recommend?

My favorite anime would be Dragonball series and also One Piece. There are few others such as Eureka 7, Rurouni Kenshin, Full Metal Panic series, Slam Dunk, Naruto, Bleach, Soul Eater, Love Hina, Shakugan no Shana, Code Geass series, and others. The list can be quite long if I were to list everything out here. By the way, I've watched Black Cat before but I must admit I don't really fancy it. It's not as good as some other animes that I've watched in the past. The fighting part is too abstract and the usages of the colors tend to be a little bit too much. Not really my cup of tea. If you like romantic animes, try watching Honey & Clover, and also Makoto Shinkai's works such as the short movie Voices of a Distant Star or 5 Centimeters per Second (or Byousokuu 5cm).

We like Bleach and Love Hina. Have you se Mi Hina? That's a pretty good one, as well. I like Full Metal Alchemist too.

Action/Suspense = Code Geass/Gundam 00(lovin' it... and not mcdonalds)
Romance and Romantic Suspense(lolx) = Ef : A tale of memories/melodies
Continuity = Naruto/Bleach
Comedy/romance = Special A/Skip Beat!
Randomness = Lucky Star!

I've heard of Vampire Knight, but I don't think I've ever seen any. I also like Cowboy Bebop. Mai Hime is another I like, tho the first season better than the second, even tho its younger.

Well I have a lot of favorite anime series. My current top favorites now though are: Ouran High School Host Club, Skip Beat, Vampire Knight, Vampire Knight Guilty, Lovely Complex, and much much more. I recommend all the series I just mentioned and I think animes with the shoujo genre are worth well checking out too. A lot of them have cute plots. If you want a change though and want to watch something horror-esque, I suggest trying the anime Jigoku Shoujo and Higurashi no Koro ni.

I love Ouran High School Host Club the most :) It was very well made in terms of drawing and the script was cool. Some guys think it's "gay" - because there are a lot of cute guy characters in the anime but a couple of guy friends watched it and they said they liked it because of the humor :) Although they also said that they won't easily admit that they watched it (the only reason they admitted it to me was because I was the one who recommended that they watch it :P)

My daughter's friend lent us the DVDs and I liked the premise, I plan on getting that series. My hubby actually liked the series too.

My favorite Anime is Prince of Tennis.

I think I have too many favorite animes, and need to break it down to genre:
Love & romance - saikano, clannad.
mecha & action - code geass, macross frontier, gundam 00, soul eater, gurrent lagann, tales of abbys.
long series - bleach, d.grayman, one piece
comedy - school rumble, hayate no gotoku
mystery - meitantei conan
horror - ghost hunt, higurashi no naku koro ni
magic battle - fate stay night, to aru majutsu no index.
sports - prince of tennis
musical - no dame cantabille
All of them is my recommendation for each genre.

Anime is something continuing. Cartoons end in one show. Also Tom and jerry is more like a famous cartoon. Anime is more like a famous continiuing movie.

my favorite anime series is naruto!!
but i like to read the manga than to watch the anime series..
because the manga is direct to the point..
but i also like the animation..
