Another suggestion: "Save Discussion As Draft" option

Sometimes, I would think of a lot of discussion to start but I don't want to start them at once. I want to start some of them on another day. It would be great if I can type the discussion and save it to be posted on the day that I want, right? What do you think? Do you also like to have the option to save your discussions until the time that you want to publish them live? Or would it be the same as writing it in a notepad for future reference?

I agree with you and this is just another feature I would love to have on this already amazing website. I think we should have a "schedule a discussion" so that we can automatically start one or two discussions everyday. I usually write down my ideas on paper or on the Notes feature of my cell phone or iPod touch and then later just type them out.

Yes, I want that!!! I would want to schedule my discussions! In that way, I won't have to log in to myLot to start a discussion! It will be a lot useful when I have to take a long vacation from myLot!

I have sent a number of suggestions to myLot but have received no reply. At least you receive some reply to your message. Me, I don't receive anything.

Yes, I think it would be very useful for vacations. You should really submit all these discussions about mylot features and options to mylot. I have done so in the past but they always give me the same reply. Maybe if they see the amount of responses we receive they will actually consider it.

So far I haven't had that problem. I can't think up that many discussions at any time. I think the most I have started is three discussions over the course of one day. Most of the time I spend commenting in others discussions.

If I could think of three discussions one day, I would like to start one discussions on that day and then reserve the other two on other days when I can't think of any. Would it be great to do that?

I can see the advantages of having that option. I suppose you have noticed those who seem to be able to come up with 20 discussions which they post in the space of an hour? That is never going to be me.

Wow! That is a lot of discussions to throw in an hour. I don't think I can think of so many discussions in a day. It would be so cool if I can think of 20 discussions everyday without being repetitive of my topics.

Personally, I think this is an Excellent idea. Wonder if they would ever consider it though? You could always do these in Word or something and save them though to post in here later, but that also takes time. Actually you could be on to something here, and maybe the Owner of myLot will figure out a way to incorporate this one in here sometime.

I hope they are really reading this discussion and see that we really want this kind of options. I think it would be a lot easier for us if myLot would have such options.

Hi richiem, I don't post often but whenever I can think of a good topic, I will type it right away...I don't like to take the chance of forgetting it! LOL! I have that weakness..LOL! But, when I am out and I can think of a nice topic, I will right away take note of it....I wish I can post as many post as I can! LOL!

How do you take a note of it?

No, I can start writing on my computer and paste it later. I cannot see a reason for that. I know of no other site that gives that option, and if they do, do not see a need for it.

I just thought of it when I am writing a discussion. I just if I can think of five discussions a day, I would like to publish one and save the four. If I would only save it in my computer, I have to copy and paste it which is not allowed for myLotters below 500. If it's saved here already, all I have to do is publish it. And the Schedule a Discussion idea above really rocks!

It is a good suggestion if you have a lot of discussions that you keeping wanting to start. One can store it on a dedicated note pad file as well. At the same time if a discussion comes to my mind then i prefer to start it right away.

Suppose you think of five great discussion ideas in a single hour, would you start them at once? I am thinking if you would start them right away, they would be competing with each other in terms of attention. And I don't think it is good. I would like to save some discussions ideas for the days that I can think of any discussion to start.

You have a good point which I never really thought about. It would be nice to be able to write and save as a draft. That is what I like to do in my blogs. That would also be a good tool to use so you could look at another site for more info or to just wait until you actually have the time to reply to your responses. Draft option would be useful if you are writing a discussion and want to save it to add to it at a later time or for other reasons. Great idea.

It's good when one always start new discussions ^_^ Because that will help them to preserve their ideas and not forgetting about it when they are in mylot.. BUt it will not work for me, as i dun start discussions often, and even if i were to save it, by the next day when i logged in to mylot again, i wont know how to continue with my post.. lol

Yes, this would be great. Sometimes I want to add something on my responses. But unfortunately I already posted it. But I do love to have this kind of choices in Mylot.

That is a good idea, the Schedule a Discussion suggestion above is also excellent. It would even be nice to have a notepad feature on Mylot. I prefer to type most things in Word (blogs etc) and then copy and paste them into the forums - it looks better to type away in a Word document when you're at work! But if you're under 500 posts then you can't do it that way on Mylot.
