I do like to go shopping at the after Christmas sales. I always seem to find good things. My husband, my little boy and myself went and got some good deals. My husband got the Guitar Hero that he wanted so bad for his playstation 2 and he got it for $39. I love to sing and I wanted the SingStar game with the microphones for our playstation and I got it for $24. It's fun to do when you have friends over. So if you like to go shopping at the sales what kind of good deals did you get?

I love the after Christmas sales. I'm always searching online for random deals, subscribed to store newsletters to get exclusive deals, things like that. When I walk into a store, and I see something I want, I look at the price and immediately decide how much lower I will wait to see it go from any store before I buy it, haha! Earlier this year I bought an 8GB USB Flash Drive for $10 at a one day only Futureshop online sale, and then sold my 4GB for $22. So I not only doubled the size of the USB but made $12 in the process. This year I bought an XBox 360 Bundle. Comes with 4 games, two controllers and the 60 Gig harddrive system. With tax and shipping it came to just under $300. After I plan to sell the games and my previous system it'll likely come down to $20 or less! :):)

It depends what you're looking for. Personally, I look for electronics and clothing so I go to the store websites (Futureshop, Best Buy, NewEgg {online only} and various clothing outlets such as A&F, Hollister, Aeropostale, AE, etc.) and register for their newsletter/emails. You're given notification of exclusive sales and online only sales as well as gift certificates and gift codes. Secondly, become familiar with the stores and their policies. Futureshop and Best Buy both have low price guarantees and price matching options so if one is closer to you or you like the warranty options from one you can often use this to your advantage. The more often you shop there, the more exclusive the offers tend to get. Another option is to use a site like Red Flag Deals. It's basically a site that lists the exlusive sales and offers as well as coupon codes for pretty well any store imaginable. That should be enough to get you started, the rest just come from practice I suppose. I'm always searching for items through the various stores in my spare time just in case there's something they didn't inform me of. This morning I bought 100 blank DVD-R's from NewEgg for $15. It will be Monday before I get them but I've had good experience with the company and the brand of DVD-R's so I'm optimistic that they will work and the deal will be worth it. Once you're started just basic shop around, pay attention to store details, and always check the shipping/border fees first. I'm Canadian so a lot of times if the item is not coming from somewhere in Canada it's not worth the purchase because the border fees are just too high. If you're still unsure, then I strongly suggest checking out Red Flag Deals because that is a community built on people looking for the best deal and they will be able to point you in the direction and guide you through whatever you may need.

I usually hit the sales after the first of the year. I get my wrapping paper at 90% off, and I always try to find paper that can also be used throughout the year as general gift wrap. I find my gift boxes, decorations etc too. Then I check the clothing to see what might have been marked down. As my BF asked, "Do you ever buy anything that isn't on sale or special?" I looked at him and stated that after working retail for 15 years I know better than to pay full price!!! I love Kohls because I get my clothing and shoes on really good markdowns and I make sure that they aren't trendy clothing...I love being able to buy fifteen pairs of shoes for $50, and they are good name brand shoes like Nike, New Balance, and more.

Here it is too cold to go out much. I did go out today but it was just to the bank and I have already spent money for Christmas and have none left over for any sale. We used to buy Christmas cards and wrapping paper for after Christmas, but now we still have a lot left over, so we do not need to get anything new. We did not have that much left over, so did not go to the sales.

I did not get anything at the after Christmas sales this year, but my son did. He wanted to spend his money and gift cards that he got for Christmas. He ended up getting 2 Ben 10 toys that he really wanted that were normally $24.99 each for a total of $31 for both.

Once in a while yes. We can find some nice deals after the holiday. Especially on kid clothing. Any penny saved these days is a help. We found some nice holiday decorations one year.

I don't have much room for storage of christmas things anymore and since christmas is not at my house anymore...I didn't do much on seeing those sales, but I did go to Dollar Store and their stuff was 50cents so I did get some really cute gift bags for the kids next year and some boxes and name tags. Will save me a few dollars next year!

I love the after Christmas Sales. I bought myself 3 tops that were $3 each and a pair of pants that were $5. I couldn't resist at those prices. Then I bought a couple of gifts for next year and they were only $2.50. Other than that, I bought wrapping paper for next year.

I love the after Christmas sales. Usually I buy new Christmas decorations for the following year, but this year I bought some bakeware on 50% off, a new PS2 for my boyfriend and a bunch of clothing. I'm all shopped out now, but it was a fun few days!

I love it too! That's when the you get real good bargains. Today I bought 3 cardigans. It only costs me half of the usual price. I usually go for clothing as after Christmas, the next big festival for me will be Chinese New Year. For Chinese New Year, most Chinese will wear new clothes.

My kids got several gift cards and they wanted to spend right away so we hit the mall and did get some great buys. I think I saw more people buying things after Christmas than before this year. I was able to pick up some great sweaters and accessories at 70 pecent off the regular price.

Usually I buy lots of decorations to be used next year. Last year I bought a lot of stuff at Target when everything was 90 percent off and sold it in a yard sale this year.

Now that's a brilliant idea! I used to do so with Sweaters and other Warm Outer Wear. I would buy them in Summers when they are ta 60-70% off and use them in the coming winter. :)

Last year I got wrapping paper after Christmas. I bought enough for this Christmas and probably the next 3 Christmases! I won't be stocking up this year.

judy43 - that is brillant thing to do! I used to do that and sell on ebay until ebay got to big for the little guys pants. I don't have room to store for yard sales anymore, but when I did, I didn't have the money to buy ilke that! That is cool! I have been shopping these last 2 days - got a few sweaters for $14 each and today, I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and got things on sale PLUS they allow their 20% off coupon on ALL items and one per each item you buy! So I got chair cushions for my kitchen chairs - I thought they were $12.99 and with my coupons for each, I thought that was a good deal.. get up to the register and they are on sale (should havelooke at the tag - it was right there!) and they were $7.99, plus my 20% off each! I got a Build-A-Bear for $5 with a coupon and children's clothes are really cheap - I have a new grand baby on the way in APril and just look at the cheap racks in Gymboree and Carters and Kohls and Target and most are less that $4 for really cute outfits! The sales are pretty good...didn't go before christams or the day after so not sure how they add up to that but for my wallet - they are doing really well!

Yes, if I can! This time, I've only got a few tops and warm slippers... but I am also geting this treadmill that's been knocked down by a couple hundred pounds! It's the best time to get essentials, if the pocket allowed, I'd stock up as much as possible on winter wear and other house stuff...

After Christmas sales! Because there are less people in the store, and, okey- less of the stuff as well, but the one that is left in the store Will have very HUGE reduction, and this is what I like even more about shopping after Christmas!

I love to go shopping the day after Thanksgiving, but by the time Christmas is over I am sick and tired of shopping. I still have returns that I need to take back to the store, but I just don't have the energy to do it yet. Hopefully by this weekend I will feel like going out again. Especially since I have several gift cards to spend!

I usually try to shop after Christmas but unfortunately this year I missed the sales because I was ill. In the past I have found several good deals including Christmas trees, cologne, perfume and clothes all for half price. I try to also get all of my following year's supplies for wrapping the gifts while they are on sale.

Against my better judgement, my husband went out on Boxing Day and bought a 40" flat screen HD TV. I thought I had a lot of major cleaning to do to make room for the treadmill, I had a lot more to do to make room for that! The TV cost $799 which is a great deal (usually about $1500 I think). He also decided to buy a Blue Ray DVD player (we don't need it *sigh*) which was $100 off and came with three free movies. Then there was a cable he had to buy. So he spent money we don't have for these purchases. I took my girls out yesterday and bought some books because when we went to the movies the other night they gave us a coupon for $10 off our local chain book store with a purchase of $50 or more. It took us 5 books to get over $50 because hardcovers were %30 off for Boxing Day sales. I bought a book that was recommended to me but I really don't need any more books. The other books were for my daughters. They have a ton of books to read now too. I got an email from Blue Notes saying that you could buy jeans 3 for $30. Well you can't buy jeans over the Internet. You must try them on because all fit differently and look differently. We don't have a store near us (an hour drive) so we're passing on that one. We really don't have the money to spend... DH withdrew some retirement savings again.

I never experience buying stuff in sale after Christmas. My hubby is not that fun to take me to the store. Besides, we are in a tight budget. But as I think about that stuff that are so cheap? like 90 percent? wow!! I never experienced that yet. I am not here for a long time yet. And I am not driving so, I have no opportunity to go out and see what happen to the shopping malls. That might be good in this time that our money is so tight.
