Where do you draw the line between confident and cocky? Believe it or not, I've been called a cocky son of a gun before. way back in the day, perhaps it was arrogance but it seems to be, more than anything, a very fine line. Show the confidence, which women tend to love, but don't go overboard and come off as cocky or arrogant. I know this will be different for everyone, but perhaps I can find a median starting point.

In my opinion, if you have something, and you do a good job with this, you are confident, but you don't have something, and you just talk but not to do, it's cocky.

I think it's very hard to define the line here since it can be rather subjective based on personal experiences. I do believe in something called gut feel. Someone who seems to be confidence to others might look and sound cocky to me, and vice versa. I also believe that as you meet more people, you will be able to differentiate them better. Maybe being confident is more like believing in his or her own abilities and knowledge, but remain humble and open to suggestions whereas cocky is the type where he or she only believes in one thing - that he or she is the only person who is right and he or she will push away other ideas immediately.
