We have been to the Gulf of Mexico (if you consider that part of the ocean) and this past summer we went to the Pacific Ocean for vacation. In spring we are planning on visiting the Atlantic Ocean!

The Pacific Ocean, many, many times. I used to be right near it and now I'm still only a few hours away.

Yes, the Atlantic. The Atlantic Ocean is the second-largest ocean, covering approximately one-fifth of the Earth's surface. The ocean's name, derived from Greek mythology, means the "Sea of Atlas." The oldest known mention of this name is contained in The Histories of Herodotus around 450 BC (I 202).

I live near Oceanside Calif - about 11 miles inland from the shore. I have lived in Southern Calif most of my life. I spent 4 misrable winters in Chicago and now I am home- never ever to live where it's cold again.... I love home.... it's expensive and now I know why. I am 2 hours from everything that you can think of. 15 mins to the Beach, 2 hours to the Desert, 2 hours to the local ski resort for snow, it's all accessible. That's why we pay more and work harder. Nut it's worth it.
