Its easy to take a coffee or tea or go for a walk if you dont wana sleep but what IF u want to sleep as have to reach early in morning to urs office or univ.
In such cases i usually choose some boring science book and start reading that while lying on bed and short i realize that i should better switch off the lamp and put the book aside (oar may be over tummy:)) and sleep.
WHAT DO U DO....

Godd question I'm having the same problem...I want to sleep but I can't and when I do fall asleep it's only for several minutes at a time and I wake up startled. When you find an answer let me know.

If sleep is to be invited fast,
one way:
Hold the pillow in a loving way, close eyes, dream in a good way.
other way:
Have three pegs and sleep.

I have 2 different things I do if I have to sleep and I am not tired. One thing I do is that I start to relax all my muscles, starting from my toes, one by one. You will fill heavy and relaxed. But you have to make it really slow. By the time you reach to your chest or neck you will be sleeping already. At least I never got to the facial muscles. And the second thing is the "counting ships thing". Only that instead of only counting I also imagine them jumping over a fence. It always works.
