Its the first day of the year and im here working.
I just wish im at hope sleeping at home relaxing and eating.
Well, i have no choice but give my best on this first day of the year. All I can do is get a litte nap to relax. I slept late last night and im too sleepy to work, and time seems to stand still and not moving and its as if eternity.Why does it take so long for the clock to strike two pm. I cant wait to go home.

Happy New Year, I was up very late last night and didn't get up till around 11.30.And am starting to do a few things now.Will be trying to work a bit later, as I've got to get a lot of stuff ready for tomorow.

i was able to sleep at 4:30 am. i do not have work today but my relatives, without warning, just arrived here in our house. now we have to entertain them, setting up tables and preparing lunch.

ANyway, it's really hard to survive this time that is why people work and work and work....Plus there are a lots of temptation about loans and credits so, sometimes, even if it is beyond the budget, people are tempted so it makes them work harder to pay the bills...[/i]

I have to agree with you, but on the other hand, all working people need a day off. It's getting to a point where even Christmas people are working. I don't think it's fair for them or the families. But it's all about making buck. I remember back in the late 50's, on Sunday, everything was close. we didn't have malls. Downtown was completely closed down, it was about spending time with the family. Now it's all about making money. How sad is that?[[/i]em]sad[/em][/b]

I have had to work many holidays because of nursing. I know how it is to work holidays. It is still 2008 here in California USA. It is only 9PM here. We have a few hours before we see the new year.

haha.. i slept at 3 am this day. and my lola waked me up at 7am... grr..hehe.. and now, i don't seemed to be fallin asleep. and now, i am at work. i am researching for my thesis now.. as i had my quiet time, time to really start the year right. i know how it feels for you.. i'd been there. and i hope you won't yell at anyone. because you see, when a person has less sleep, they seemed to be at mad with the world.. wehehe...Happy new year te!

Im glad all people are all sleeping now and have not given me he opportunity to yell at them.HHEHEhehe, i would want to start the year right and would want to yell at them. I would want to be a good girl from this day on. I hope I can kep this going till the year ends.

lol wht we got, we not satisfied with that as you are having job atleast to do and you wish to sleep at home relaxing and eating. on other side, im not getting job from very long time and i now loseing hopes now. anyway enjoy ur job and work too and happy new year and keep smiling and enjoy the new year eve :)

I know about time standing still, i know when I'm someplace that I'm having a good time, time flys, but if I'm somewhere i don't want to be. Happy New Year, Zelmarq. I am sorry that you had to work on the first day of the new year, but I am having my days off from December 31st till January 3rd. So today I am still having a rest at home. I am enjoying myself a lot at home doing things I love to, feeling so relaxed and comfortable. I wish you had a good rest home after you got home after two in the afternoon yesterday.

Hi Zelmarq! My sister in law is also working this first day of 2009 and she is really upset and happy at the same time. Why? Well, she said that it is double pay and that made this first working day bearable for her. haha..

Zelmarq, you are not alone, I have to go in at 3 p.m. and I do not get off until 11 p.m. I got little sleep last night because I was up working online.
