Hi,
I am facing some problems with recovering my PC to factory default settings.
Firstly, I have lost the Windows XP Operating System Disk given by the manufacture company for every new PC being purchased.
Secondly, I encountered this error message: fltmgr.sys is corrupted, setup will be cancelled after I tried to boot into the recovery environment via the recovery disk given by manufacture company.
Thirdly, I need advice on how to restore my PC to default factory settings and I have already backup my data.
Best Regards

I have an emachine. You can press start, then look for the set program access and defaults. It is in the start menu. You can then reset your computer to the factory settings.

Is this your notebook or desktop computer? Some branded computers have a recovery key, which, while pressed on starting the computer will automatically restore the OS as it was when bought. But if you do not have that facility, you will have to find a new Windows XP CD to install a fresh copy of Windows. It seems that the CD that you have now is corrupt.
