When I tried that, even though I kept a list by the computer, it became too confusing. Using the same one for everything works most of the time. I still go to some sites that assign a screen name and password, and I never remember them!

There are so many sites I visit, I'm afraid I'd forget a variety of screennames. It's lazy, but I'm always in a hurry, so it's the least difficult way.

There's no big mystery. I have very long fngernails, so I use them, not my fingers, to type. If one breaks, I find it very difficult. Avoiding hitting the wrong keys is not as difficult. Since I've been doing it this way since my early teens, when I first learned to type, I wonder, as I'm sure you do, why I type at all, or why I just don't cut my nails. Well, old habits die hard!

I use various usernames but usually I use one of four or five passwords that are sort of variants of each other.
I have a hard time keeping up with too many things, and I've forgotten the old passwords I used on some of my older accounts on sites, so these days I prefer to keep things simple. :)

i use the same user name on most my sites. only a few of them are different and that is because my whole username wouldnt fit so it ended up being like chantalgiard instead of chantalgiardina lol

I use the same user name and password in all my sites. I only have two sites with different user names to make my name sound real because they are writing sites.

yea, this user name is easy to remember, vanonas. Using different password is compulsorry because once a hacker knows that my passwords are same, they will be against me so, today I am increasing my password stock by one and I will have 3-4 passwords.

I may have a the same user name or one similar. But never the same password. The reason why I don't keep a similar password is because if someone hijacks a site they will not have info to hi jack my account everywhere else.

I am guilty of this. I use the same screen name for the majority of sites I sign up too. Not only does it make it easy to remember, but it also ranks my screen name higher in the search engines, when their spiders crawl the net and bring back information.
As far as passwords, I have two that I use. One with strictly letters, and one with both letters and numbers. Another way that I can remember my password for everywhere I frequent.

Sorry for keeping you wait for such a long time.q
I am not including the banks site and payment processor site in this discussion. Those are really high security website which needs special security. So, I am not going to disclose my bank user name or password, as it can be risky.
Anyways, I also didn't understand why should you feel guilty about this?

Yes I use same username and password for most of the sites. However, I have selected different username and passwords only for banks, credit card and emails accounts for security reasons.

I use the same username for all website that I signed up except the username already taken by someone. But I never use the same password for each username. Because if one of my password and username being compromise I have no worry about my other username and password. Normally I set around 16-20 characters for each password. I can't memorize all my username and password so I used KeePass Password Safe to store all of my password and username. With KeePass I only need to memorize I password.

What is KeePass? Is it a software where you can store all your passwords?
I would like to have one with me too because I have several bank sites and payment processors where I need to change the passwords every 15 days or so. It is very difficult to keep up with all that. I would like to have one of the software like KeyPass.
Where can I get it?

I've got three or four user names around the web but only one password, I forget them too easily. If I get hacked I'm not too worried, will just have to re join and start again.
The few sites I belong to like internet banking and paypal are different, I write my passwords down and change them regularly.

I usually try to use the same username, but sometimes people just beat me as they've registered first with my desired username 'laydee'. However, I do try to use the same password. The same password for my emails, another set for income generating sites and forums, another for the social networking sites. And of course, a different one for my paypal.

I do use same user name if available with different passwords on the sites which I do join. I use to get my password remember on my browser so next time I log in I don't have to type my id and password. I use this feature because I have pc at my home , one can't use this feature on cybercafe pc.

yeah, friend i do used the same username and password..what's the matter of this? why you ask? ..but you know i have read and learn some feedbacks not to create the same username and password because it is possible that your paypal account will be hacked but anyway i am just doing this having the same username and password to remember immediately since i am very poor in remembering things.

Hello!
Well I mostly have the same username and password. But some important accounts have different. Mostly for the earning sites like this and some other social sites like this I use the same username and password. Yes its very much difficult to remember when we join many sites and then again remember username and password for each of them. I have so been using at most using three username and password, and this too makes me confused when I try to log in to a website after long time. I get confused which among three hehe....
Happy mylotting...
