As a saying goes, early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise. I usually get up at about half past five every morning to do my morning exercises. That has been my habit since I was a child. But recently a friend told me that early rising isn't good for health. He advised me not to get up before seven o'cloch. That is why I ask this question.Do you think early rising good for health?

I really believe rising as early as 5a.m is good for the health especially if you do your exercises. I can't find anywhere or any study that claims that it is bad for ones health. Rising early and exercising would not only let you tune in physically but also mentally and emotionally. I love waking up early and seeing the first rays of the sun. There is something magical and renewing about it. So go ahead and continue what you are doing for I believe it is good for you.

Ha, you get up so early. Usually I get up at 9:00 AM. When I'm off duty, I like surf the internet, chatting with my friends and relexing myself, when I go to bed, it's so late, usually the time I go to bed is 2:00 AM, and so I get up is late.

I honestly have never heard such a theory. I would not think it would matter as long as you get enough rest for your body. I am quite hyper and always have been. I run on about 5 to 6 hours of sleep per night. I get up anywhere between 6:30 and 7. I used to get up much earlier. I am completely healthy far as I know. I am 52 and feel great and haven't missed a day's work for illness in years. It is extremely rare that I even get a cold and when I do, it is very short-lived. I wouldn't worry if I were you. If you feel good then that is all that matters.

When I could sleep in, I would usually wake up anywhere from 8:30 to 10 a.m. But for some reason, now I seem to almost always wake up about 7 to 7:30, give or take, every morning. And I usually don't go to bed until pretty late nowadays. Honestly, my sleeping habits are really weird or something.
