Wow!! This is a lot taken out for such a small amount of $$. Could be the site themselves that paypal has to charge a Big amount for, or could be the Country you are from, but I have never experienced this type of thing myself so I am not sure what it is. Maybe what you could do is Contact paypal and see if they have an answer for you as to this, or verify your account and see if this continues to happen each time you get paid from this site.

the only thing i can think about is may be because you have a premium account with paypal... i never been charged with a fee at all because i have a personal account with paypal... the only thing i think you can do is to contact the admin and ask them to switch your account to personal if you can... good luck... take care and have a nice day...

Paypal probably has a minimum charge and unfortunately, in this case, it was close to half the payout. Maybe you could have the website that made the payout hold your payments until they reach a higher amount. Is that possible?
Come to think of it, I receive several very small payouts from AC from time to time. They are so piddling that I never even bothered to check if Paypal was charging me a fee. Next time I will.

OMG! thats not fair on their part, i am also using paypal and till today they have not charged any charges from receiving payments from sites. So, i think its a new condition in paypal to charge certain amount for receiving payments. It may depend also from the place also, i am from India and they don't charge anything for receiving payments from different sites. You better contact the support team in paypal. Sorry to hear that and wishing you good luck.

Go to http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside and it will show you a list of fees charged by PayPal.
It may be that with the small amount, to make it profitable, they had to charge a larger amount.
I hope this helps you.

I got charged by paypal for receiving a payment too, I was really cross about it. There was nothing I could do though, I had to agree to the charge before they would let me have my payment so I was stuck whatever I did. Paypal can be a bit naughty with the things they charge on, I mean they make loads of money with the system they have, gets me why they have to be greedy.

Paypal will charge you a certain amount if the site that sends you money is outside the US. This has been my experience with sites that are not US based. Does the site that paid you outside the USA? So, it would be wise to just request payment when you have higher amount or just simply join those sites that's outside the US.

Wow, that was a rather small amount you requested. PayPal charges you a fee for small amounts below a certain limit e.g It is £50 here, so we'd be charged a certain amount for withdrawing below that...
I normally wait till I reach £50 before making a withdrawal and have only made one withdrawal of £115 so far and was not charged any fees...
Check the fees on your account

oh i was really shocked to know that paypal has charged such a high amount as processing fee. I think paypal only charges 5% as the processing fee i think something has gone wrong send a mail to the administrator of paypal and ask them to look in to the matter and they will give to the correct reason
