i am also into smoking and at times do feel like quitting but perhaps not so willingly hence am still into smoking.its all a matter of will power to leave smoking, once we decide vehemently to quit its quits.few of my friends left smoking, one was shown the x-rays so he got scared and quit and the other left on his own.both were smokers for more than 10 years.there are some medications also available but i still think its the will power that matters most.

Congratulations. I think you have done a great job in making a decision to quit smoking. I think you can start some other habit instead of smoking initially like chewing a bubble gum, etc. I don't smoke, so I don't know any good tips to giving up. My friends have told that initially it was hard to stop, they were able to stop it completely after sometime. All you need is good will power.

This is really good, i was also a smoker about 2 yrs back. I think most important part is your own will power and medicines cant help you soo much. I want to advise you that when ever you feel to have a smoke, busy yourself in any other thing like to call a close friend or go out for a walk or start cooking something. That is all what i have done and about after a couple of month you will get rid smoking wish. Best of luck i am happy that i am not alone who is quitting smoking coz many of my friends was making jokes over me that i am quitting smoking. I heartily wish you best of luck

oin www.quitnet.com. . My husband took several tries to make it stick. He found that when we went away for a month to Europe, that being away from his normal activities made it easier. So start when you are going on vacation and changing your normal habits. He said that this time around it made the difference.
If you cannot get away, change the way you do things because much of smoking is attached to habit and not just addiction.
