Whilst I was down in Cornwall seeing the new year in with my mum I decided that I wanted to get some car seat covers. The one's I wanted are sold in this market so we went along but it was closed. I told my mum that I guess it was meant to be and at £35 I wasn't too bothered that I didn't get them. I have just gone onto eBay to see if they have any there as I have seen them for about the same price before. I couldn't believe it!! £9.98 including postage!! Well that is where last months mylot earnings have now gone and very well spent too I think. Happy New Year to me!!!
Has anything similar ever happened to you

Hello lingli_78
I think you are right to be cautious but there are people there to help you if you get any problems. I got the car seat covers from a business so it wouldn't have made good business for them to do anything wrong and it would be easy for me to contact them too!
Thanks for your response

You are really lucky Hambug
I am not much into Internet shopping so I don't shop via eBay. But I was once very lucky, when I went to buy a PSP. It was festive season and I wanted a PSP very bad, when I went into the shop, only 1 was left, I quickly grabbed it and by the time I was leaving the shop, another customer came to buy it. I thanked God for giving me that 1 extra minute...

Good for you. It is definitely a buyer's market on eBay right now. Has been for a long, long time. That might not bode too well for the auction site in the long run but it sure is nice for eBay buyers right now.

Well, my laptop has been giving me a bit of troubler and when my son arrived yeasrterday, my sister had sent me a lap top and I am so happy to have this. I would love to see Devon and Cornwall again. So many years since I was there. I am so happy that you got the seat covers though. This is wonderful. May you find many more bargains.

Great luck! It seems ebay is really a very good place to buy cheap and good thing. In order to face the global financial crisis, I also consider to open store in ebay to sell things, normally is for household and baby things, because I am trading company and always have something more during export, why not sell in ebay by cheap price. I am now in the process for investigating, because I can not be sure what's the popular thing can sell well in ebay, any friend can give me suggestion will be highly appreciated.

Hi there ntmingyu
Well I wish you all the best with your venture and hope that it will work out for you. If I were you I would start a discussion here on myLot and get some advice about how to start your busniness up on ebay as I am sure there would be some fellow mylotters only willing to give you hand and offer some good advice.
Thanks for your response

Well, things like this have happened for us from time to time as well. You see something you are interested in, but decide to wait until a later time to get it, and when you go to buy it the store is already closed, or they have Sold out of the item and then you are out of luck. Often times I will check around to other stores, but checking online might be a better deal as well. Just usually never consider that route though for some reason.

Hi ya KrauseHome
Well I once had an opportunity to go back to this town where I once lived and had been meaning to for ages to get these specific shoes I wanted and they were the only store I have ever seen them in. They were a clothes store but also sold just these shoes. So I saved up so I could buy two pairs. I got to the town, which I hadn't been to in about 18 months and ran to the shop as I was so excited and it had closed down!! Aghhh, I was so disappointed. I have been on ebay to try and get the same shoes but never seem to win the auction! C'est la vie eh?
Thanks for your response

That was a great bargain, well done you! Great start to the year, may your fortune continue! It's true it's weird how things turn out, it's like one door shuts in your face and another one opens which is more profitable. Everything in life happens for a reason, and what a great way of spending your Mylot millions LOL! I do that, I search on Ebay and spend my Mylot earnings on dvds, presents and gifts, if you let it build up in Paypal you can have a nice spend up and you can save a fortune buying on line than in the high street. Keep up the excellent work ;0)

Hi ya wolfie34
Can you actually transfer you paypal money into an ordinary bank account? The only place I seem to use paypal is on ebay but don't always want to buy something on there so if it was transfered to my bank account I would spend it in a different direction maybe.
Cheers wolfie

When you check your Paypal account you should see two amounts, one in dollars which obviously Mylot pays you, and it will tell you how much that is in our currency so yes you can transfer it to your account with no problem, you just have to watch the charges if applicable with your bank and the conversion rate from dollars to pounds which isn't that high at the moment.

Hi Humbug. How I wish I was able to visit Cornwall. I should make it one of my destinations. I have the habit of checking the prices before buying. For example when I wanted to buy an HP PDA about two years ago, its price was around £350.00 in Malta. I thought it was a bit excessive and I went checking online. I found a new similar model for around £225.00. I think it is better to window shop before parting from your money.

Hi ya ronaldinu
Well the funny thing was, was that I had checked on ebay first and they were £27 plus P&P and then I saw them at the market for £35 and said to myself several times that I will get them. So when I decided for sure that I will get them the market was shut so I looked on ebay again expecting to pay the £27 but they weren't at that price much to my pleasure!
Thanks ronaldinu

I love ebay. I always find great deals on there. That is where I do all of my craft and sewing shopping. Fabric and patterns is cheap on ebay. Patterns are about 16.00 new and heck i can get a huge lot of patterns for about 5.00

Hey there gemini_rose how's things?
Yes it did save me a lot of money and I really do hope it is an omen not that last year was a particularly bad year for money but there is definitely no harm in lining your pockets a little thicker eh? LOL

Hey AbbeyB
I used to go on ebay a lot as I found it fun but now I only go on there if I am looking for something specific, I guess the novelty has worn off a little bit. I would love to get into selling stuff but am not sure how to set it up! Might look into it when the year gets on a bit more and I have more time.
Cheers Abbey

LOL...It used to on occasion, but now I only go to Ebay. When I want makeup or something expensive, I will go tot the website to view items, colors and prices then go to Ebay to buy it. People there have new items they are able to obtain from the outlet stores that I can't get to. Live and learn. Good deal for you!!
