I always like to have something in the cupboard for a rainy day. The day I don't feel like getting to the shops, or the day when I am sick.
So if you did not have a freezer full of food, what would be your rainy day solution from your store cupboard?

Cans of pork and beans always work well for me :)
But for a more satisfying meal, I also have spaghetti noodles and ready-to-heat sauces in pouches.

Probably a can of soup or some Ravioli in the can and there is always chili in the can.

I guess these would be good. I have to admit that I never eat canned meat stuff, not sure why. But I usually have canned tomatoes and various beans - and there are nearly always onions and potatoes and pasta in my store cupboard too! So I would probably end up with a pasta and a veggie alternative for spag bol sauce! Maybe baked potatoes with baked beans ...or tuna pasta salad (the easiest student meal out, with canned sweet corn, canned tuna, mayonnaise and seasoning with raw onion on cooked pasta - the sauce isn't even cooked. but just gets warmed up by mixing it with the cooked pasta!
