OK all my fellow Mylotters, it is confession time. Do you talk to yourself when you're at home alone?
I must admit that I do talk to myself when no one else is around, (I'd try to tell myself that I'm talking to my animals, however, this may not always be the case) but I have heard that if one thinks they are nuts, that in fact they probably are not.
So are you willing to admit that you talk to yourself if no one else is around?

All the time, and so does my partner, which leads to some confusion at times. I also occasionally mutter out loud in public, which gets a few raised eyebrows but hell, at my age I'm allowed to be as eccentric as I like.
You're not nust, well, not unless we are too lol.

oh yes.
GUILTY AS CHARGED.
I talk to myself whenever i'm down or moody. I'd prep talk myself. In fact at times, i do have the little angel and little devil on each side of my head.
Most of the time i openly talk to myself is when i'm daydreaming too. Or at times, i'd talk to myself facing the mirror. It's so funny because you're looking at yourself and just ranting or just pouring out your nonsense.
I find that it's a great way to unwind too. Especially when you're not in a good mood, it's a great way to release your anger by letting it out without hurting your loved ones.. haha because you're scolding "yourself"

Prep talking sounds interesting. I tend to think aloud and I will argue with myself out loud working through the pros and cons before making a decision.
I agree that it is a great way to unwind as you can work a lot of anger out of your system harmlessly and then it does not impact negatively on your life.

I do talk to myself once in a while. I probably do it more often than I know, but I'm not aware that I'm doing it. There was this one time that I was pulling the clothes out of the dryer and at the bottom of the dryer was a quarter. I picked up the quarter and said "ooh, a quarter" as I held it in the air. As I was saying that, my husband popped his head in to see what I was doing and he caught me talking to myself. He'll bring it up every now and then just to make fun of me.

Even I talk to myself, for six months I live alone so may be I need someone to talk to and so I talk to myself. Sometimes I assume I am talking to someone known and reply on hisor her behalf, then at times I am afraid that I might not become a split personality.

Yes I do but I tend to think of it more as thinking out loud. I vocalise my thoughts. I think it is a bit like concentrating really hard but sometimes it sounds like conversation.
I have done it in public because I forget that people might find it strange and they do. I get some odd looks at times.

Of course , i am! Lol! At least we know how to communicate within ourselves. And they say that is a good sign that you know yourself. I don't think its for crazy people only but its everybody. The advantage of talking to yourself is that you have more better communication with other people. Its like your just checking yourself if you are ok or not.

Well,I do talk to myself sometimes when I am alone.
When I feel very low about something and do not feel like talking to anyone I spent time with myself.I talk to myself and try to console myself and make me happy.
Also if I desperately want something to happen when it actually seems impossible for it to come true I do talk to myself and assure myself that whatever I want will happen. And that actually cheers me up.:)

I think that's the only time you get the most intelligent conversation when you talk to yourself! I am always talking to myself, I find it therapeutic, it's grounding and it's a great way of dealing with situations, stressful or otherwise. I work things out by speaking out aloud, I actually find the best place to talk to myself is when I am driving believe it or not! I guess I find driving therapeutic so I am more relaxed. There is absolutely nothing wrong in talking to yourself in fact it should, in my eyes be encouraged, sign on an intelligent mind!

Dear friend,
I times I talk to my self and make sure that there is no one around and also some times I do sing my self and all these happens if I feel I am along and not noticed and also sometimes accidentally too this could occur even without my own conscious very rarely it a happens.

We always talk to ourself. We sometimes to don't listen to ourself but it doesn't stop us from talking. Sometimes we even answer ourself. People start at us, think we are strange, but only we understand us and our warped ways.
We are lying. We never speak to ourself.
Yes we do.
No we don't.
Don't listen to us. We talk to ourself too much.

Not only do I talk to myself, but I also answer myself!! I scold myself when I do something dumb, I praise myself when I do something good, I ask myself what to do next once I have finished the project I am doing, the list goes on and on. I am not embarrassed to admit it either.

If there is no one around me, there is only me in the house, I will talk to myself, because so boring:)
My be just an interesting thing to talk to myself, I just pretend there are two person, one is trying best to persuade the other, and the other finding everything reasons that can be used to refuse, very interesting.
Only there is on others I do that, of they will thought I have some mental disease.
