I think it's one of the saddest things in life. I'm allergic to cats. If I inhale their fur then my eyes would get red and I'd keep on sneezing and sneezing and sneezing until I run out of air. I also get itchy all over. What's worst is I absolutely love cats but I have to stay away! :(

Ahh, that's a shame. I can't say I have heard of someone who is allergic to cats, I am sorry to hear that. Cats are really good pets to own.

We actually have one :) But I can't touch him and I scold him every time he comes to near me. Or else we'd both be scolded at - he'd be thrown out of the house until dinner and I'd have to sleep the whole day to make the allergies go away.

Wow that's amazing, good for you. Is there anything you can do to stop this reaction with cats? Have you looked into herbal treatment?

Nope, I can take claritine - that's the one for the allergies right? But I'd rather not because it leaves me sleepy. And I just don't like too much meds in my body since I tend to take a lot of it - I'm kinda sickly :P

I had a classmate when i was 12, a girl to be precise,...whenever she saw a cat,she would keep a very save distance and when a cat suddenly appear near her, she would scream, i never ask her whether she afraid to cat, or maybe had allergic just like you mentioned. But me, i love cat very2 much.

I'm highly allergic. A scratch makes me swell like crazy & could likely put me in the hospital. Yet for some insane reason I have 6 on my porch ( thanks dear!).

Close is bad enough, my symptoms are probably a little worse than yours. I'd rather face off against a grizzly than an angry cat. It's not as dangerous.

LOL as long as you don't get scratched, then you're good! Awww I bet your 6 cats are amazing!

I am! For me, the major symptom is my breathing. I have such a hard time breathing, it's not even funny. Even if I'm at place where there are no cats, but someone there has a cat, I'll be allergic. That's how awful my allergies are. I'm just thankful that that is my only allergy.

Hello oyenkai! I don't think I am allergic to cats. I love cats because they are very cute. I used to remember when my baby sister wasn't born yet, I used to domestic cats whom I find cute in the street.

I'm sad to know that you are allergic to cats. I don't have allergies to cats and I am so lucky because I was able to have cats when I was in High School and Elementary. Now I don't have a cat because the condo unit owner does not allow pets here. Anyway I just enjoy watching cats in malls and in televisions.
