Do you do this everytime? Is it necessary to do?

I receive lots of mails from my fellow friends which says that you forward it to 20 people to get *** and 10 people to get +++ and 5 people to get *** and atleast to one to get +++. they say you get good luck / money / .... i believe they will say even girl friend or boy friend ... lol. then there is one more line which says that if you don't forward then you will get bad luck / ..... (more like a scary movie). do you believe in this? do you forward it to 'n' people immediately? frankly speaking does your heart fear that millisecond thinking that if i don't forward i will get bad luck or whatever? just be frank.

Actually it is more of illogical than anything else. Lol, how could anyone have bad luck just by not forwarding a chain email. Some people are just too superstitious about these sort of stuff and well they just add on to the spam of cyberspace. It's more of irritating than anything else though.

No, I never do that. I don't believe such emails and simply trash them as soon as I notice them. In fact, I don't like those, who that and always tell my friends politely that they should never forward such things to me.

I can't not stand these emails. My friends and family send them to me often but I just delete them. Maybe thats why I have bad luck rofl. One once told me I would die if I didn't send it around that one was on myspace. Guess it didn't work yet. Everyone will die sooner or later. The delete button has become my little friend and I don't like to punish others by forwarding these emails.

This is an electronic form of chain letter. The best thing to do with chain letters is to put them straight in the shredder and with the electronic ones delete them. At best they are silly piece of nonsense and at worst can be quite dangerous particularly to someone who is superstitious. Of course you wont get any bad luck. Good or bad luck it just something that happens to people it is not influenced by any sort of action or something you carry about. It is just a matter of chance.

Definitely not.. I will not be sending or passing such things around because it's a waste of time.. PLus, luck is not something equal to everybody.. What's good for me, might not be good for the others too.. SO, why should i pass it around?? After all, it's something meaningless too.. IF it's something unlucky, all the more i wont send because i wanna gather all the bad luck b4 i pass it back to them.. lol =D

These emails have gone from being a mere irritation, to a means of mass-mailing viruses and scams. No longer does a virus author have to send a potentially traceable virus to millions of people. They can send it to one person and within hours these ridiculous chain mails are flying round the globe piggy-backing the original message. I have never participated in one of these and friends have long-since stopped bothering sending them to me (thankfully). They generally prey on those with phobias and various issues and nervous disposition who quite readily believe that their lack of participation will invoke anger from some almighty power. I've heard someone crying that because they didnt send the mail round some guy jumped a red and hit their car. Call me dumb but i'm pretty sure the guy was going to jump the light anyway ;)

Absolutely I don't believe in those messages/emails. I got a lot of them in which most of them are very inspiring and religious. However, what made me a litttle upset is the message that says forward this to sos and so.....and worst is the seemingly threat of getting bad luck if you don't do it; that really gets into my nerve and I never do that; I instead delete those messages. And one thing, although the message is Godly and inspiring I still don't like to believe it because God's message doesn't make threats........it's the devil's.

I have never forwarded similar letters to anyone. Before the PC era letters like that were sent by snail mail or photostated and distributed by hand. We were supposed to reproduce the letters and threatened with misfortune if we fail to do so. The stories given were quite convincing and several of my friends believed them. What I did was to ignore them Nowadays I delete the chain mail letters from my inbox. Despite the warnings my life has remained the same. all the best, rosdimy

I have received a lot of such mails. And the worst part is that they have started haunting the inbox of my cellphone as well.I get such messages forwarded by my friends. Earlier in the beginning I used to believe in them(I know it was really very stupid of me to have done that)and I did give them a try by actually forwarding them to the required number of people. But not any more.I have been fooled enough and now it is high time I get a bit smart an act wisely. Nowadays the first and the only thing I do after getting such mails or messages is delete them at that very instant.I have realized that they are just a waste of time and do you no good.

This kind of mail is designed to prey on people's fear of 'bad luck'. There are many others like this that use many of our 'weaknesses' to persuade us to forward them to all our friends. Why do you suppose people start these 'round robin' type emails? Sometimes we assume that the person was motivated, like us, by a superstitious belief in good luck or just by a desire to share something cute or uplifting or a warning with their friends. Unfortunately, this is very far from the truth! The people who start this kind of 'snowball' email belong to a loose community of people whose business it is to collect valid email addresses. Sooner or later the email that you forwarded to your friends and that they forwarded to theirs will end up in the mailbox of a spammer. It contains several hundred VALID email addresses (including yours) which this guy extracts and either uses himself or sells to others like himself. A CD full of real email addresses is very valuable to these people. In short, did you ever wonder why you get spam? How do you think the spammer found your address? There are many ways, of course, but the 'forward this email for good luck/tell all your friends about this' kind of mail is by far the most efficient!

I get these every once in a while from family and friends online. I forward them sometimes to others but never 20 people at a time.
