White teeth (Is it easy to do?)

My teeth are a mixture of white and yellow but if I had to say only one colour, I would say white. I want to make my teeth a little more white so how would I go about doing this? I brush my teeth once a day, should I brush more? If so, why?
Does whitening toothpaste actually work? Are their any natural products out there? How easy is this task?
Thanks for any help

I brush my teeth when I wake up and before I go to bed. A natural product you can use is baking soda. It's gross, but it works. Just put some in a little sandwich bag, then wet your toothbrush and dip it in the baking soda. Use it before you brush your teeth with you regular toothpaste. Those crest strips also work, but you have to keep using it. I like to use crest toothpaste with baking soda in it. But I think just using baking soda alone, then using your toothpast works best. It's simple and cheap, but the taste is pretty gross.

Baking soda it is then! but where do I buy it from? and is it cheap? If the taste is bad, I can mask it with my toothpaste which will reduce the taste. Is baking soda ok for your teeth though? Is it harmful if bits of it enter your mouth?
Thanks everyone for your replies!

Hey Gohan, well I notice you are in the U.K., so I couldn't tell you exactly where to get it from. Here in the U.S. we sell it at grocery stores or neighborhood shopping stores. But I am pretty sure you can check where you purchase your groceries. Usually people use it to put in their fridge to mask odors or to clean dishes, basicly you can use it for anything. It is completely safe, don't worry. Just don't swallow it. Use it like toothpaste. And you can mix it with your toothpaste if you like. That would help with the taste. I use to do that. I would only do it once a day, like in the mornings, but you can do it morning and night. Brush for about 4 minutes or for however long you can stand. :) But with your regular toothpaste, always brush for 4 minutes. Thats what my dentist always tells me. :) Well, I hope this helped. Hopefully you can find some there.

I got trays from my dentist for about 300 dollars and it works great you juse use them when you want until you get the color you desire. I smoke so I use them quite often. However you could use some baking soda and peroxide mix that may help. I just suggest a clinical strength.
