I was talking to a friend of mine and I told him that I was talking to my bosses. He asked if they were male and I said yes then he made this comment that bosses are always males. So I was like, so does that mean the females can't be bosses? or that they should not be a boss? what are your thoughts regarding this? Do you know anyone who is female and is a boss or has a female boss?

I think you can tell your friend that female bosses are available. And they are successful for their business. Not only male bosses can succeed to it, but also female bosses. The reason why there will be less female bosses than male ones. That is because women have to take care of her family while they have their business. It's not easy to balance it well. So women have to sacrifice their careers. I love China

I can really relate to that. Its so hard to reach balance on both family and career, most of the time one is sacrificed. I salute those women who are able to achieve success in both areas.

I don't think it should make any difference whether the person is male or female. The one most qualified should have the job.

Your friend is wrong. There are many female bosses around. I've worked in several different types of places in my lifetime and I have had many female bosses as well as male.

It doesn't mean that only males can be bosses. We tend to look at it as "always" being supperior of males from females but I myself have a lady boss and she performs much very well compared to my other male bosses. For me we should set aside the gender discrimination with regards to who is more superior a woman or a man.

I have had both male and female bosses. In fact, at my current job i have a male AND a female superior. i have the same respect for both, i think it really depends on their attitude and how they portray themselves.
