On the software side, I defrag it often, I protect my computer from threats like viruses, spyware and try to prevent hackers from gaining access to my system using a firewall. I keep my files up-to-date and organised and I back up often. If I have programs installed that I no longer use, I will uninstall them and run a registry cleaner to ensure the program has really been deleted. I also run disk cleanup and junk file cleaner to remove temporary files that may be clogging up my computers memory.
On the hardware side, I clean the components every few months and will replace the parts when they develop a fault with better parts.

i've been using malwarebytes since the 1.18 version and now it's 1.32.its a very very good scanner and remover.if you need the realtime protection just buy a license key...

That depends on what you are talking about.
If you talking about the cleanliness of the computer hardware, I would say it's pretty much hassle free. The only thing I have to do is just try to remove the dust off the front cover of the pc and try to wipe over all the pc exterior and the LCD screen.
Going onto computer securities, I do not have fancy bloated softwares running constantly. Anti-virus: NOD32 ; Firewall: Zonealarm
The rest aren't really needed and since Vista does everything quite efficiently, there's nothing to worry about. On XP however, you might need a alternate disk defragmenter that defrags faster.
Hope it helps on your topic.

i just make it generally by intention so anyone who read can share their knowledge on any ways to maintain or how they care their own PC on their personal ways. you are sharing good knowledge thanks for that. about the xp and vista, i can't make any comment on the vista because i am not using it and about the defragment on xp that would consider a nice sharing.

Prevention is better than cure so they say. so i made a registry entry so that no other programs would run on my computer especially executable files. Since Virus is an executable file, it won't run on my computer. then i just put in the names of programs that i use to allow them to run. then the usual anti-virus programs i also use malwarebyte's anti malware, it's free.

Hey,
Well I wipe my computer whenever I see dust on it. Actually it is a laptop, so I wipe it, don't use it if my hands are dirty, and try not to get annoyed with it or else I might pick it up and throw it without me wanting to. Happy MyLotting!
