I think skirts look great on people who are not too overweight but I've seen some really overweight girls wear tight or short skirts which do not look good at all.
So what is your opinion? Should skirts only be exclusive to slim - average females?

Not to set any discrimination against people who are plus-size but I do think short skirts look more flattering on skinnier women. They emphasize one's legs and plus-size people don't need that much exposure if they really want to complement their body type. I know, most women would want to don short skirts as they do look attractive and sexy but to best work the clothes, you should have the right body type. The most important of all is that you are comfortable in what you are wearing to exude confidence. That is if we're talking about fashion.
There are plenty of style that really suit plus-size people well. In fact, there are some really fabulous brands in the market that specialized on that. I think, if you are on the heavy side you should look into that and you might find something that really fit you well.
Nobody can force you what or what not to wear but if you want to look attractive and classy then find the right clothes for you. It is very important no matter how much we take it for granted...

Yeah, I see what you are saying. When I say overweight, I mean obese... woman who are much larger than their normal body weight should be.

Dear friend,
May be the overweight women have to do that and may they could opt their dressing freedom that makes them comfort. But being looking awkward could to noted to them while they dress. May one could advice them and decision are purely on them as it they who have to wear the dress and be with it.

Being of that catagory of figures. I will agree that short short skirts are a big no no.
I'd just say a modest knee to mid calf is fine and depending on the top as to if it hides or compliments the flaws the skirt may or may not point out.

Sure, why not? I think the most important thing is that the skirt in question suits the body type, so if one takes that into consideration it should be fine I think.
That said, I do not love mini skirts on anyone, they look kinda trashy if you ask me!
