my other computer has recently got a virus called AntiVirus 2009 it pops up at the start of windows and it does a fake scan to tell u that u have lots of virus's on your computer and tells u to bye it DO NOT DO IT its just a scam. it will also have other pop ups as well just exit them, their is 1 pop up that got me scard 4 a bit was the screen went blue and said it was deleteing every thing ITs FALSE it will then come up with something that looks like the computer has reastarted. the really bad thing about it that anti virus programs don't reconize it. i did this as a warning and i was wondering if any 1 else has this??

Never heard of this. It sounds rather odd though.

I saw your discussion about removing it. I'm sure it will help those that have been infected. I use Norton on here, which helps a little. Then every now and then I use TrendMicro's Housecall as it catches all the crapola that the others miss :)

probably you have to reformat your computer. There is another way yo prevent your computer from the virus. Use a dual OS. When playing a game or running a program, use the Windows OS, but when you want to surf only the net you could use the LINUX OS. because virus are made for Windows OS and not usually for LINUX.

Thanks for warning us. I would have freaked out if I seen that on my screen. I just bought the updated version of my virus scan package.

Hey, My brother is in a similar situation as you at the moment. But he has the virus that is called "Antispyware Guard 2009". He has popups that come up and fake virus scans that go on. Oh well, I just hope that we will be able to remove it. Happy MyLotting!
