is it more important for you to keep a discussion going, respond to your friends discussions, or making new discussions to try to get more money? I find that i cant really keep the discussions going to well. i guess im not well great at input. i like to try and respond as much as i can when im on though. i dont care if there a friend or not. i also try to balence it out so that i can do all three when i can. What is it that you think is more important to staying on my lot?

hello kttribal
I am just the reverse of you. I don;t really enjoy responding to discussions. I have more discussions started in my name than i have responded. Although i try to maintain an equilibrium in between these two,my inclination is towards starting a discussions. all the day i keep on thinking about the topics to start a discussion. I love to keep the discussion active by commenting on the responses i receive.
Have a nice time at mylot.

I rather keep a discussion going on. But I do really enjoy responding to other posts. For some reason when it comes to me making a new discussion my mind seems to go blank 85% of the time so I respond to others until I can find one interesting enough to post myself. But I think that when the conversations go on then a person can really pick up on personality and they have a chance to make new friends.

Oh yeahI definitly know the feeling! Its weird because I would be like watching tv and all of a sudden a question would come to mind and I think that I will be able to remember them but then when i visit mylot, I totally forget it, so now I have to write them down.

Well I was a newcomer to Mylot about a month ago now. I respond to about 10 discussions for every one that I start. I know that others will disagree, and say that to make more money you should post as many responses as you can and to start new discussions that are general in nature to bring people in to respond to your discussions.
While I think, most people start new discussions thinking they will earn more from them, then by responding to discussions that another user has started. Now I know others will probably think this untrue, and Mylot will not allow us to post the specifics of our earnings because they don't want people to be able to artificially inflate their earnings. However I reached payout in three weeks for January's payout and I'm well on my way to being halfway there already this month. It is definitely quality over quantity. I never post anything unless I feel I have something to add and I rarely post one liners, unless they are part of an ongoing back and forth, so that its some response to a response of a response... And so on. In fact, I feel ignored sometimes if I respond to a person's discussion and they say nothing at all. On the other hand, I get just as annoyed, when a person thanks me for the response after every posting. I don't know as I can not see their daily earnings, but I do not think that such one line postings earned the poster much if anything/
I think that the biggest piece of advice I can give for being successful on Mylot is to post at least daily so that you keep your account active and will learn from any discussions started. Is also important to be reliable and respond to discussions that are of interest to you because then your friends will get to know you and respond to your discussions regularly.
Find the stuff you like and just have fun with it, I guess my situation may be a bit different, I could use the money, but I don't need the money for survival. So I'm having a lot of fun, meeting new people and as you do respond back and forth over time you do get to know each other and the personalities of some of the others here. In the end, to make the minimum payment of $10.00 per month all you have to do is make 33ยข per day, which in fact is quite doable.
Good luck to you and happy Mylotting!

Responding to to discussions. That's more important to me that creating a new discussion, for the reasons that I am not good on opening a discussion, and secondly because i suck on starting discussions i end up not having that much replies. so its better for me and i am more comfortable with expressing my opinion. ^_^

hi kttribal!
well, for me, earning is my utmost purpose for staying in mylot. other than that, it is competitiveness. i am very competitive so much so that i compete with myself. lol i just want to know how many i posted that day. lol
anyway, when i am really interested in a discussion, i go back.
okay, gotta go. take care and God blessyou! :-)

I find that I respond more to discussions. I have a hard time keeping up on discussions that I start. I also would rather reply to others discussions than start my own. I find I earn more that way as well. I also upload pictures into the interests categories, which earns me more. I too will answer friends discussions, but also those that are not my friends. I find the first place I tend to go on myLot is the new discussions area. Happy posting.

I do both, respond to anyone and discussion. But I always respond to different topic more than go back and forth to the old discussion, unless that discussion is more interesting. I never note how much I make a day either so I just keep doing something fun

Well one thing that bothers me about this site is when I post a question in the forums and it is resolved, or the issue is long over and done with, and we can't update or original post or even post a response to it to say that it has been resolved. So some of my post do just sit there I still read what people write but I usually have nothing to say about it because I already had so many times.
I try to post 2-5 new topics a day. I respond to at least 5 discussions, and go through my Unresolved discussions and look for best responces. I add everyone and anyone so I have more choices because really some of these topics don't concern me or I have nothing worth while to say in them.
I am not on her for the money. I have been a member for 9 months and only this month will I receive my first payment. But they do pay pretty good if you ask me.

Hello, With me Responding is more important because I am usually good at finding topics that relate to my life style. Although I do try to post a discussion at least once a week but I can never come up with stuff to post half of the time. Plus I like having my input heard when it comes to others discussions. As for keeping a discussion going, it does not matter to me if it does not keep going just as long as I got a few responses so I know how I could be changing my life style or if I am doing things right when it comes to certain stuff in life. Either way I would keep coming to mylot even if I was not great at this stuff because everyone here are such good people.
Happy Mylotting

Yes this is the best place to get people's opinions. I'm glad that I was able to help you. Thank you for the friends request. Now I will go and see what other discussions you have and respond. This is how I get so many different topics and such to respond to. I always approve everyone's request so that I get more to respond too. This here is another great tip you can use. Good Luck on posting and
Happy Mylotting

It is important to me to responde to all my friends discussions. If I think of a discussion, which isn't very often, then I will start one. But it is not important to me wether I start one or not. I like starting my opinion, so after I answer all my friends discussions I will respond to those I think are of interest to me. Such as this one .
Happy mylotting and Have fun doing it!!

I'e only started one discussion. I have ben told that I should stsrt a discussion on some topic I am typing about. I don't have time right now. I respond to discussions from the emails I get. I don't really like to do it that way because I can't see what others are saying. I like to support my closer friends as much as I can.
