This happens to me all the time, lol. I do need a drill sargeant too. I find that I waste alot of time on the computer, when I should be doing other things and writing instead of being on mylot or other sites. I need to break the cycle, but it is hard. I try to confine my time on myLot to only in the morning hours, then get myself ready for the rest of the day. I make out to do lists, which are very helpful. They let me know what I need to do that day and in what order I need to do them. When I finish one thing, I cross it off the list. This makes me feel really good, and enforces the fact that I am accomplishing things. I hope this helps you.

I'm the same way in some regards. It's not that I'm not disciplined. The night before I write out the things I want to accomplish the next day, but there are some days I'm just plain not "with it"---like today. I had a lot I was hoping to accomplish for today but wound up not doing much of anything...just wasn't in the mood..oh, well...there's always tomorrow..LOL

I have had many days like that, even though most people I know think of me as an excellent organizer. Of course that is what I get for hanging out with artists. Compared to them I probably AM highly organized. LOL. Sometimes we just need a day off to let things gel.
I have a number of software applications that I use to help me with time management. One has the unlikely name of ToodleDo! That is my scheduling program but I use it together with a program called NoteZilla that is really good. They both send alarms to my computer desktop and or e-mail reminding me of things that need to be done.
If anyone knows of other good programs that help with time management and scheduling, do let me know, as I am always interested in learning about new ones.

I used to have this problem until I set aside Wednesday as my semi work day. I begin each week strong with an organized list of deadlines and must-do's that need to get done and I set off to work. By Wednesday I find that I am getting distracted so I allow myself Wednesday to be a semi-serious work day. I complete any pending and necessary tasks that need to be complete to bring in my income. Then I can either work hard or goof off a bit. The last thing I do as part of my constructive work day on Wednesday is complete my list of "must-do's" for the rest of the work week. Saturday is also a semi work day for me and I take Sundays off entirely.
For some reason just knowing that I have Wednesday set aside as an easy day stopped me from wasting time on the rest of my work days.

Yes, it happens to me all the time but it's usually because of my kids that I don't get things done. I need time management help too.
