Do you complete your to-do list in order or sporadically?

I'm sitting here making a packing list of everything that I have to pack before I head back to school tomorrow for another fun semester. As my list grows, I'm not sure how I want to tackle it exactly. I'm thinking about doing the small things now to get them out of the way and then tacking the bigger things a bit later. Sometimes though I do complete things in order. Sometimes it's just easier but that is not always the case. How do you complete your to-do list? In order? Out of order? Matter of importance? What is the easiest way for you to complete your list?

Mmmmm....I think you're doing the reverse order...LOL. I always remember hearing that when you have a lot of things "to-do" one should tackle the harder, more time consuming things to do first, then the small to-do things last...which is how I go about it

LOL well let's just say I'm not one to follow conventional order! I'm all for putting everything off today. I'm kind of tired and don't feel like doing any of it. Not looking forward to another semester of classes so I'm just like do I really have to? lol

I usually do the easier things first to get "warmed up" for the rest of it. I find this way the easiest for me.

The best way for me to tackle any to do lists is to look at the list and do what is most convenient at the time. Since I multi-task, if I am going in the direction that something on my list needs to be done, I will complete that task while I am there. If there is something on the list that is going to take me into town, I will usually do that first or in the middle of the tasks before tackling the more detailed tasks. I am definitely one who tackles the to do list sporadically. Thank you for the discussion.

I usually number it 1-10, that way I only have 10 things to mark off. List the easy ones first, knock them out and then tackle the tougher ones. Good luck and learn for a lifetime.

I have got a thing about to do lists, I absolutely love them! I think they are a great idea and I have a notepad full of things that I have to do. I don't do them in order though. I just get on with the things that need to be done, I kind of prioritise. Having a to list helps you to remain organised and I'm sure that this would be an excellent idea for your schooling. Good luck. Andrew

I complete my to do list sporadically. I do the ones I feel like doing. When the day is almost up I, whats left I do quickly. Sometimes I forget things and next day todo list gets larger. By doing this, I;m less organized and thats not good for someone tryin to get a good job.

I am always making list of things to do so I can get it all done that needs it. I actually don't follow the list straight down I just pick something off the list and do it but on occasion I will have to follow the list since sometimes it is not good to dust then sweep or mop then then sweep..lol

Personally it often depends on the situation. If I am doing something that I feel sticking to an order of some sort is the Best then that is the way I will do it. But often I will write down a list in no order of things I need to get done, and will do them in an order I feel like doing them. Sometimes I end up cutting myself short and not being able to tackle them, so it is Best to make sure these are all ones you can attain as well.

I find it easier to do the harder things first because I always put them off. I'm horrible for that. Other times it's just what comes first. If I just start working on things though I can get them done quite easily.

I try to make a to-do list in the order that will be most "energy efficent" to get the job done. For example, if I have to go out to get some things done, I'll arrange my list so I can either do everything on the way to my destination, or if I have to make loop, I can do it in such a way that I don't need to back track. Same thing around the house. I try to do all the stuff I can do ahead from one room at a time, and only have to go back into that space if there's something that can only be packed at the last minute.

I don't do it in order, unless it's something that I really need to make in order. I make the things by my mood, if I want to do a thing I won't make myself do the other, at least at that moment. It's easier to complete to-do lists when we make them without feeling obligated. Of course my to-do lists are about things I'll do in those two weeks for example, not about a single subject, if you know what I mean.

I tend to prioritize my list based on the importance of completing each task and then I go in order. I tend to put the larger or more time-consuming tasks first to get them out of the way before I run the risk of being disturbed by phone calls or visitors. Plus getting them out of the way early seems to energize me and I can complete the smaller and easier tasks in less time.

I have a bad habit of dealing with the difficult stuff later, but it is one that I am really trying to change - as the harder things can usually take longer so it is much more sensible to try and tackle them first!

Sporadically. I seldom get it actually written down and whether it's on paper or just in my head I'm constantly revising and reprioritizing it. Sometimes because of procrastiation of what I don't want to do and sometimes because something else comes along that really needs more attention.

I am usually sporadic in completing to do lists. The reason being is I don't prioritize normally when making the list. I just get it all down in random order as it comes to mind. Then when I look back over the list, I choose what needs to be done first, second, and so on. It would probably be easier if I did it in order, but then, when making my list, I'd more than likely leave something important out.

I'm a list fanatic - I make lists for everything! I don't make my lists in order of importance, I just freewrite or brainstorm what it is I need to accomplish. Then, as the day progresses, I work in random order until it's complete. I don't look at what's easy or what is the smallest job and then work my way up - I simply do what I "feel" like doing because, in the end, it all needs to be accomplished. So long as I finish, I don't think it matters what order I do what's on the list.

First and Best way is to make and arrange correct remiders by pen on your diary then carry it on your mobile device or through email by configuring your calendar. Best way is the diary. It was the olden and golden method to keep track of anything from our end as well and good. Now a days people using mobile to organize these kind of to-do list.
