In your purse or wallet do you keep your bills turned the same way and organized from highest to lowest or visa versa? I keep mine from lowest to highest but I don't turn them the same way all the time. I payed the cashier at the grocery store and she looked annoyed when I handed her the money and she had to turn them the right way.lol Leave it to me to make someones job harder. So what about you? Do turn your bills the same way and are you organized when carrying money?

Yes I do keep all of my bills organized weather they are in my pocket, safe or wallet. I always keep them in order from lowest to highest and all the came way. Sometimes when I have a lot of bills I actually put the newer bills behind the older ones.
Some of the newer US bills look fake in compairison to the older ones and sometimes when you actually pay attention to your bills you will find something special. I got a 1934 $20 star bill as a $20 bill and found out that it was worth over $800. I ended up selling that 20 for $950 to a collector.
HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!!

You never know what you are going to find anywhere.
I have came across many valuable coins and bills out of change from stores/gass stations. Usually you do not get many "goodies" from banks as they get less turnover than other places
Happy Hunting and HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

yes, I must have it that way, it's just a thing with me. And yesk the cahiers get upset as they have to have it all in order and the same direction for the bank. Imagine that you had to take serveral hundred or thousands to the bank daily and you had to stand there and wait for the chasier there to turn each and every bill the same way. They do this before you can leave or your deposit is done. It's time consuming and annoying, especially for them as they deal with money everday every minute the same with store cashiers.

I work in retail and so out of habit...yes, all my bill are in order according to denomination and all facing the same way. Not only that...they are all smoothed out and no dog-ears on the corners or anything. what can I say? it is habit.

I wish I could say that I had some kind of organization with my purse. It's bad enough as it is when I take my tips to the bank each week to deposit them. I have to empty out my entire purse with my money, old receipts, my keys, etc., so that I can get everything out. Pretty much I just through everything into my purse as I need to.

Hello Jenin,
In my case, I used to arrange the bills from highest to lowest, but I seldom turned them the same way. I don't think it does matter. But arranging the bills from highest to lowest is some kind of sorting it and makes the counting easy as well as when paying. It lessen the possibility of paying more or less than we should pay because money is organize.
Unlike you, I don't put my bills inside my purse, and I seldom bring a purse or wallet. Whenever I do, I only place coins and billing notice inside, The bills are in my pocket. I am not comfortable putting the bills inside my purse especially if I have to carry it.
Happy posting!

yes i do. i keep my cash from the highest denomination to the lowest and all of it must be facing the same way. however, if i use my money clip which is most of the time, i keep the lower denomination bills facing up first to hide the higher denomination ones. it's important that i keep my bills organized because i'm such an obsessive-compulsive wreck when it comes to money. lol!!!

Hi jenInTN I don't organise the bill notes in my wallet. I just leave them as I place them the first time. I don t make much use of bills as I use more plastic cards visas and other credit cards. I find it better to control my accounts online.

I'm not organized at all! I just throw my money in my purse or wad it up in my pocket. I know that's bad.... isn't it?

Ahh this is one of my pet peeves. I have to oraganize my money and it has to be neat and as unwrinkled as possible. I work in a store and absolutely despise it when a customer hands me a wad of crinkled up bills or worse yet, a handful of sticky change. Nothing ticks me off more than that.

Unfortunately it happens a lot more than I would like it to and I find that more women hand me wadded up money and sticky coins than men. Sorry girls, but its the truth and it irks me to no end. I keep a bottle of hand sanitizer with me at all times and I have to go and rinse off the sticky coins. I could never pass them back out as change in the same manner as they were handed over to me. ewwwww, just ewwww.

I always keep what little money I have organized. I have to have all of the bills facing the same way, and I stack them highest to lowest. My husband stacks his lowest to highest. Whenever I am in his money, I always change it to highest to lowest. It is so much easier when you need to take out a bill, because you know exactly where the denominations are located.

I absolutely HAVE to have them in order and facing the same way. Drives me crazy when it's all crumpled up (cough...like my husband does...cough). I figure it's leftover from my days as a cashier at KMart. When we were "cashing out", we had to go through all the bills and make sure they faced the same way and what not, so I picked up that habit. That's probably why your cashier was so irritated, Jen, lol.

I don't really fuss too much about if they are in order, or whether they are folded etc. If I have time, I will tidy up my purse just to make things a bit more organised and easier for myself when I am out shopping and needing to get cash out for example, but I can't say it really bothers me though and its something that I don't feel the need to do

Definitely. In fact, money is the only thing I keep organised.
I keep my money from lowest to high and in the same direction as well. And then I fold it in a certain way.
And when I'm not carrying money, I put it into a plastic sleeve to compress them and make them flat again.

Yes, I think I have a problem with that. LOL I keep my money from lowest to highest and I have to have all the bills turned the same way. It bothers me if I don't. When people give me money back and they aren't turned right I will turn them all the same way before putting it in my wallet. People laugh at me cause it bothers me so bad. When I worked at the doctor's office they would laugh at me when I had to make sure my money was put in the right way each time I took someone's copay. And at the end of the day when I counted down my drawer and put the money in the money bag it was always lowest to highest and the bills were always facing the same way.

I keep the money in my wallet in an organised manner. All bills are adjusted in similar fashion i.e. there same side is visible on one side and also I keep highest denomination currency first and then lower to it and then it goes on like this in decreasing order and the lowest denomination bills come at the end of my wallter. I always follow it strictly to enable me to pull out the right bills, even I have to search the bills in dark.....LOL!

I don't keep my cash in any order really. I pay for just about everything with my credit card. I have two cards, but I really only use one of them (and I make sure that I pay the balance every month).
When I do go somewhere that I know that I'll have to use cash (which I find annoying), I try to sort it bout before I get to the point where I have to be paying.

Well I think I am not that organised in my purse. I put my money just in the purse no matter if it is the lowest or highest and not all by the end of the day I end up full of papers and lits all crumbed in my purse. I need to be more organised :)

Hi Gauci123! The purse is by far an evil nemesis! The only thig that stays organized in mine is the bills. They aren't even turned the right way. I think the purse was invented to torment us as women.lol I'd toss mine out but then I wouldn't have anything to carry my junk in.
