I used to like Miranda. However, it ended after a class about health diet last semester. Too much soda is not good for us to keep fit.

A little sugar may restore the blood sugar level, but if you drink too much cola with sugar, you may get tired again, since white sugar over activates the insulin and after a while you have a low level of sugar again.
Eating fruit is better, fruit sugar is considered to have a slower effect and the fibers in the fruits contribute to that.
I think the best recovery drink is GR2 Control, that not only restores the blood sugar level but gives some important nutrition so that the body can restore what was lost during the sports. Many elite athletes use it together with the food supplements from the same company, and get excellent results.
If you can buy these in your country or you visit a country where they are available, why not test and see how they work. More info if you go to www.gnld.com

Thanks, - well - GNLD gives excellent education and I have had the possibility to be on the info meeting and listen to some very informed people now and then during the latest ten years or so..
As you can see on the site, scientists all over the world are involved with making the products - including some well known scientists at Stanford University - so why not study the site carefully and see what you can learn.
Who knows, you might be one of the elite athletes that they sponsor in the future.

I usually go with plain water. At least, until I cool down from the sport.
Plain, ice cold water is best!
But there are studies that show that that is not a good way to cool down.
Drinking ice cold water after an exercise event is not good for the body.
So I usually go with plain water. Until I am out of the shower, then I will take a cold drink.

We all have our own preference. I guess mine is more to the plain water kind.
For you, only sweet drinks will do the trick for you.
Each individual has a different way of handling that after exercise thirst.
Some opt for soda. Others, energy drinks. For me, it is plain water till I finish my bath.

Hi youless! Everytime I engaged in any sport activity such as badminton, I always drink mineral water. I just prefer water. I just feel that my thirst is quenched and that I felt refreshed and energized with cold mineral water.
Take care and have a nice day!

i love water. i think that's the best drink after any physical activity. it's too hard to be dehydrated and other drinks cost a lot and even makes you feel more thirsty... so it's just water for me

Water is definitely the best way to go. Gatorade does replenish electrolytes, but I don't even know what those are.

I usually drink some Japanese energy drink after doing some sports. I think that works for me to replenish the lost minerals inside my body very well.

After I workout or have done some activity I like to drink some water. I find that helps me to replace the fluids lost when I was active. If I was outside in the winter then after the first cool water drink. I would like to have a cup of hot chocolate or tea depending on if I am in the mood for sweet or not. I try to stay away from the soda though cause I feel that it kind defeat the whole being active thing. But then I did gain weight when I quit smoking and I am now trying to lose that.

It's just plain tap water for me. I started working out this year and I just drink water. It's more refreshing for me. I even like warm water for drinking. It helps in my digestion.
