hai,people i bought last month a 12 mega pixel camera which is a sony made and i heared that sony a good company in making camera. which company made camera would u prefer to buy and if u have an digi cam what company is it and how many pixel is that camera.

i m having Nikon camera of 7.5pixel. it is giving me good result i m satisfied with this cam.Sony is also a good camera but my cam is best.

first f all you should not compare a 12 pixel camera with a 7.5 its all ways best when it has high pixel sounds you have typed wrong any way thank you my friend happy mylooting

Don't be fooled: not all pixels are created equal. The pixels on an APS-H or APS-C camera are 4x larger than on a compact camera, A full-frame Sensor considerably larger pixels again. They have more space between them, generate less heat and less signal noise and offer incredible quality compared with their smaller cousins.
There are other factors too, but enough to say, don't judge a camera by its pixels!

I have an mju1030 by Olympus. I like it. It's sturdy and weather proof so I can even take it with me when I go swimming. It's only 10mega pixels though - but I like the thought that it's shock proof for 2 meters :)

I have the same camera which is displayed in mylot for the digital camera section and as you know its a polaroid eight megapixel,3x zoom camera and its fantastic but i really hate the colour which is ofcourse in pink and i would have loved to get some other colour if i had bought it but unfortunately my dad got it..if i was able to buy any digital camera i would have surely gone in for the sony or samsung since these are the ones that i really like in and i like the advancements of the sony digital cameras..they are the best...Happy mylotting....

Mine is a sony cybershot its only 5.1 mega pixels, and it takes amazing pictures and really good video. Its not the best and I know there's better out there, but I have yet to find a camera that doesn't blind me when the flash goes off, except mine.
With mine I can take a pic right infront of my eyes close up, and i don't blink or close my eyes, but with any camera i've seen with anything higher than 6 megapixel, the flash is so bright it makes me blink or close my eyes and the pics always end up messed up cuse of it

hai prasanna. i think sony is one of the best among camera manufacturers,
i have been using sony cybershot dsc s650 for the past 1 year and more. Itz 7.2 megapixel. ITZ GOOD. i like it. and i never found any complaint till now. good luck with your new camera :)

THe Sony Cybershots are quite a nice line of cameras. The high pixel count is starting to degrade the images and slow processing time on the 12 Mp line, but they are not bad for what they are.
I am presently using a 15,1 Mp DSLR, backed up by an 8Mp DSLR and a 7 Mp compact.
I have no leaning towards one company over another...depends on the camera and what it is to be used for.
